This doesn't mean anything. People are downloading it cause it's included in the subscription and more than likely to see for themselves what a shitshow the game is. Give it a month and tell me how many concurrent players there are, then we'll talk.
More than upgrades to either of those, they need to get rid of support for the Series S.
And yet the game looks like ass and is anemic in features, so modders are rightfully being praised for their work. You should be the one to wrap it up.

Be aware, the huge-ass download sizes like that are because it counts both the PS4 and 5 versions. The actual download withbonly one version is half of that or less.
If any company has earned the good will to take their sweet time with a release, it's FromSoft, and every DLC they've ever released for the Souls games has always delivered the goods, both in gameplay and in expanding the lore. 2024 is gonna be lit.
When have they not? Sony's first-party games are a huge reason they've been a market leader since the PS1. Not just good games, but many that have beco e franchises outright.

Deep Down was never released, but look at the old demos and the movement and camera work. The engine used in Deep Down is what eventually became the REngine. You can see the similarities between it and REmake 2, 3 and 4. So while Deep Down was never released, it wasn't wasted work, since it gave us an excellent game engine Capcom's using to make fantastic games.

Code Veronica would benefit the most there. I recently replayed it, and I think it's the RE game that's aged the worst. Giving it the remake treatment to fix its problems would turn it into a whole other experience.
You're right. Sekiro started as a Tenchu game, but eventually evolved into its own thing. My theory is that the rights to Tenchu are tied up somehwere.
I think the rights to Tenchu might be tied up somewhere, that the franchise is basically dead at this point. But anyway, wanna play Tenchu? Just play Sekiro, it literally was meant to be a Tenchu game and evolved into a spiritual successor.
Not worried at all for Capcom. They're kind of dormant on the release front because they're working hard on some MAMMOTH upcoming games. Street Fighter 6, REMake 4 and Dragon's Dogma 2 will all be massive releases, and I wouldn't be surprised if we get the next big console Monster Hunter (likely World 2) announced before the end of the year.
@Chevalier Exactly what I was thinking. Plus, Nintendo and Sony platforms by far have way bigger userbases who are fans of Japanese games, the XBox userbase is very Western-orientated. And the PC userbase is just MASSIVE, so they'll outsell XBox on sheer numbers alone. Hell, even though Game Pass is available for PC, the vast majority of PC players still prefer to save money by buying games they want on Steam sales than waiting for a game they want to by chance pop up on Game Pass.
That's PRECISELY the reason Code Veronica needs a remake. All the other RE games aged pretty well, considering the limitations of the time, but Code Veronica is the game that would be served the best bybremaking it because it feels so archaic these days.
