for example the the community has been very critical about the weapon balance, and bungie has responded with many changes, like nurfing the Soros Regime. They are gonna re-balance the Sworn, the Last Word and others as well, also due to community complaints.

In their defense, they are still very active in the community, and many of the changes in the game are the result of pressure from the community. Checkout bungie.net if you do not believe me.
Perhaps their DLC is too expensive, but this does not make Bungie a bad developer.
Well I got my moneys worth since I have played for more than 400 hours. I enjoy the raids, trials, and prison.
So I do not agree that the game is a "scam" as you put it.
However, I do think that the DLC is too pricey, specially for veterans.

I found it a little slow for my taste, but i guess if you put in the time it feels that if could be a rewarding experience.
