Easter egg... but because there's a huge circlejerk of people hating on CoD, it's a "bug" or a "mod" or a "hack."
I'm not usually one to defend CoD (although I play it for a bit once it's released) but these sensationalist comments are a bit out of hand.
If this were Gears or BF or Uncharted or some other "community" accepted game, it would be a "feature" or a "...
But if you're a shoddy journalist who doesn't research before penning an article, it's "modding" and "hacking."
The complaint in the article is about the button symbols in the clan tag. That is a FEATURE of the game (sort of an easter egg...) that IW knows about, and intentionally put into the MW3 game.
This is NOT the first sign of hacking/modding like it was in MW2.
TL;DR - shoddy "journalism" looking for hits on a mediocre website, ignores easter egg, claims hax

The second they put my neck on the block, there was no way I was gonna be "oh, hey... yeah, I forgive you for coming within seconds of chopping my head off without just cause"
Not really... it'll play out roughly the same (but opposite) if you choose one over the other.
I just wish it was a good/evil type decision...

I've played support packages and had 40 kills - no MOAB. I think it's a "in a row" type deal.

^ Solar - did you play Bad Company 1? I loved the campaign in 1 - it was lighthearted and funny - it didn't take itself too seriously
I enjoyed the first campaign level, but I'm taking advantage of the surplus of people on the MP servers while it lasts. 24 player games are fun - the 12-18 player games we'll see in a few months aren't AS fun. Maybe the dedicated servers will fix that?
Anyway - in summation - The MP isn't a "lasts forever" experience, while the SP will be there for a day when the servers crap out, or when there aren't a ton of people on.
SP only? or will you get an online pass?
Yes, because I can't wait to NOT play BF3 (after spending money on it) and play an older game that is free...

They all look good - I'm glad the Hammer will be making it's debut into Horde - as well as Silverback rockets - I just wish they were there from the beginning...
