Last time I updated my drivers (beginning of the month) it caused by PC to get stuck in an infinite crash loop. Yay! Thankfully it was a fairly simple fix to roll back to driver, since then I'm a little uneasy hitting that update button LOL

Sounds great, and "free" sounds even better ... until you realise you MUST have Windows 8 in order to use it. So, while it's "free", it's purpose is to push migration to Windows 8 (the OS most people are trying to stay away from). Well played M$, well played.

While the title of the article (I would say) is true, the reasoning is not. The reason "always on" DRM is causing a decrease in PC security is because NOBODY wants to be forced to be online to play a single player game ... thus they go and download the first hack/crack that claims to allow you to play offline.

The author does have a point, WoW has gotten easier and easier with each successive expansion (I could list examples, but it's been done before and is an insanely long list). To compensate Blizzard have had to throw in other stuff to keep you playing, the worst being now you must grind rep for at least a month to become revered with the golden lotus before you are allowed to spend your valor points on raid gear!

I'm a huge fan of Blizzard, I've been playing WoW si...

I love how they keep talking about the high quality standards at Blizzard that they adhere to and won't release content until it reaches those standards. If that is so, what the hell happened with Diablo III?

So, only 3 of the 10 listed have anything to do with being for healers specifically. AND they even forgot to list the best mod for healers ... Healbot.

Pay close attention to punctuation, notice that comma after he says "Blizzard Entertainment is currently developing an untitled Next-Gen MMO," ;-)

I agree, I played D2 from release up until WoW came out. I completed all difficulty settings (offline!) and STILL played it. D3 ... well, got that day 1 and as of now it's been over a week since I've played it. I don't even have a max level character and only half way through Act 2 on Hell difficulty.

Yeah, I came to the realization that D3 did not live up to the hype by a long shot, and it does get boring real quick. Shame really :(

I love the irony in this article, skip back a few months and (other than PC gamers) EVERY last person on the planet was saying gaming on the PC is dead (hell they say it every damn year). Now someone stands up and points out what PC gamers have been pointing out for years.

It's like the matrix, someone finally took the red pill ... Welcome to the real world.

You do know that BLIZZARD created and released Diablo III, right? Not Activision, they just happen to have partnered up with Blizz, but had ZERO input on the game or its release.

Why would they attend, everyone knows what projects they are currently working on, and aside from Titan, everyone knows how far along those projects are. There's nothing for Blizz to go there for, other than for the extra exposure ... but it's not like they really need it these days.

Dumb article -

"Well, let’s say that all 1.2 million passes were bought by new and returning players, that means 1.2 million people would have had to have left the game for the numbers to remain the same."

The guy decides to assume that all 1.2 million annual passes were sold to either new or returning players when in fact the vast majority were sold to existing players.

The sad state of BETA TESTING, when people (as clearly exhibited above) only want in on the BETA TESTING in order to demo the game and not BETA TEST it.

I kind of agree that "WoW 2" would end up being akin to Cataclysm in that it'd be a major overhaul/patch/update of the entire game. How else can they do it considering the WORLD of World of Warcraft is already defined. Pretty much everything from races, landmasses, lore etc is set in stone.

No matter what they did with a "sequel" it wouldn't be able to deviate from what has already been done ... unless they went the route of a prequel, but that'...

This isn't really surprise news, Blizzard confirmed before Cataclysm that they expected to release another 3 or 4 more expansions after that [Cataclysm]. The fact that they are already working on the one after MoP, again is no real surprise since MoP is probably less than 6 months away from release so the majority of the core code is done, it's down to tweaking and bug catching now (hence the Beta).

Yes, people who signed up to the annual pass will be some of the very first to get access to the beta. I'll be watching my inbox closely for my key :)

Think about it for a second, weeks ago Blizz announced that over 1 million WoW subscribers opted for the annual pass (which includes a digital download of Diablo III). Now if they only let you download the game from the 15th onwards then they know there are at LEAST 1 million people going to be downloading from their servers at once, that's a huge strain which will only cause problems. So allowing digital downloads early is a very wise thing to do, especially for a game as anticipated as ...

Piracy is the new petitioning/boycotting.

People will pirate ME3 because of what is being done with the all the DLC (and it being a really bad console port). The old method of addressing this would have been a strongly worded letter to the devs/publishers and maybe a petition or boycott of the game ... but none of these really work. Letters and petitions go ignored and sometimes are thrown in our faces and mocked, whilst boycotts never work because there are the thousands out...

I'm an optimistically pessimistic. So far the number of devs who've made this claim is many, the number who stick by the PC as they should is zero. Yes some do still release their games on the PC (eventually), but they tend to be shoddy ports. Only time will tell.
