Actually they'really mobile, movie, music, and PlayStation divisions are all profitable. Its everything else that's sinking, but Sony is also a heavy investor which is also the reason why they're losing money. But I expect them to make a huge turn around. I really just wish they'd sell off the divisions that are doing horribly but we'll see how it goes.
that feature and the ability to be a ps3 controller. THere's just so much to look forward to this tuesday with the vita. I also think GOW HD collection becomes vita compatible too.
Guess its save to say you don't own a PS device. The PS3 has been one of the most cost effective consoles this gen. Yes its always had an intially higher price tag then the 360 but it came with everything you needed out of the box to get started. Remeber when the 360 didn't have wifi. Dude you have not a single clue what you are talking about. First off yes the ps3 is old but that doesn't stop it from getting graphical masterpieces. And the fact MGS4 does not push the ps3 has hard as KZ2 means there is enough room for improvement for MGS5. Nintendo sold you a gamecube with motion controls for 250 and are selling you a psp with 3D for $50 more(use to be 250). I'm pretty sure with the ps4 is going to be a media beast. Look at the vita, the future s bright for that device. And I know Sony is going to take what they know from the vita and scale it to much larger scales for the ps4
If MGS5 is as big as MGS4 then no, it will not be hitting the 360. It may hit the wii U but I can totally see this that game, if actually coming, either being a ps3 timed-exclusive if the wii sales pick up or a ps3 only game. the Reason MGS HD collection came to the 360 was because those games are super small and of much lower quality then MGS4. 2 and 3 fit one a 4 gig vit game cart.

The Vita has custom soundtracks. Its not the online service that makes cross game chat and custom music possible its the hardware. While the ps3 has a total ram of 512mb it only has 256mb system ram. The system ram allows for multitasking features. the vita has 512mb system ram and 128mb v ram. did you see the killzone trailer for vita? That game looked almost as good as Killzone 3 on ps3. But it looked tons better the Uncharted Golden Obyess for vita which is saying alot.
while you are right Sony is trying to turn back profit which they will do if they keep the Vita priced where its at. The tech used in the vita is much more powerful and costly then the 3ds and there for is sitting at the right price. the 3DS is a psp with twice the system ram and 3D. The 3DS was cheap to make day one and is nowhere near the value of the PS vita. Heck Nintendo should drop the price of both the 3DS and 3DS XL because those machines while fun are't worth their price tags.

Anyway they invested over 150 million on the vita development. Even though they make money off of every vita sold they aren't going to turn profit until an estimated 3 year. Its like how the ps3 is profitable now but its still billions in the hole.

the vita is actually profitable. 3g model only cost $159.10 to produce. its priced at $299, so they're bringing in atleast $40-50 for every vita sold after all other fees are paid. but its not so much the price thats the issue, its content lol. Sony can very well pull it off but they need to bring in more value which they are working on. Now what does need a price drop is those memory cards.
You don't get it free. Only cross buy game as of now is sounds and shapes.
