Ok, NOW I'm sold.
I said announce not release.
Reading comprehension is important.
In the short term, that's good for Nintendo now...but I don't see how this bodes well for them when Nintendo is set to announce a new console next year.
Yeah...Assassin's Creed Unity and Drive Club were also delayed...now that I think about it, most of the games I want in 2015 once had 2014 release dates.
All this means is the game has problems. Whether those problems will be fixed by the eventual launch remains to be seen.
It's back up for me.

It really applies to any game with an online component especially if it was bought on discount through a game subscription such as PS+.
An example: let's say I buy CoD: Ghosts because it was discounted on Plus. I might have only bought the game to play online with my friends. I may still "own" the game technically but I'd be locked out from the reason I bought it if my PS+ subscription ever expired. It's the same situation here.
In othe...
My guess is the entire game is tied to online and therefore irrevocably tied to PS+. I haven't heard of any offline modes so it's entirely possible the game wasn't designed to have any. This could be the first game on PS4 to 100% require Plus to operate and that's why the PS+ Edition upgrade requires an active Plus account. Just a theory.
I've yet to see anyone complain about paying $60 for a full game and then losing the online component when their PS+/XB...
Because, instead of purchasing entire 3rd party games, Sony opts for purchasing exclusive content through partnerships from the publishers that make those games. And, of course, those partnerships also include advertising. Meanwhile, both Sony and Microsoft are leaning heavily on 3rd parties this year while their own studios are working to put out titles.
Remember that the deal with Microsoft for Titan Fall was just for timed exclusivity until Microsoft made another deal afte...
When was the last time Sony paid for a 3rd party exclusive? Why would they when they have a large bench of studios cranking out games for them? Meanwhile, Microsoft has no problem in doing so. This just seems like a difference in company strategy.
I'm pretty sure Halo 5 is gonna be 2015.
People are disputing what others are using this article to say, which is that Titanfall is giving the X1 an instant one million unit boost. The article is saying that one million happened over time with each new announcement. That's a few boosts totalling one million over time. They are using this information to jump up the X1 totals when the boost has already occurred.
With over 80 million 360s in the wild and an endless number of PCs, there is no way TitanFall sells the most on X1. Anyone who is/was already interested in buying an X1 because of TitanFall either already did or they preordered the bundle. The hard truth is, with TitanFall available for last gen, getting a game for free isn't incentive enough to shell out $500 if you had no plans to pick one up now. The choice for newcomers is $500 now to jump into the current gen and play this game or sp...
This is why we can't have nice things.
The only way this may be right is because CoD will be on 3 more platforms (PC, PS4, and X1) than GTA 5. So overall, maybe. But between PS3 and 360, I doubt Ghosts outsells GTA.
Because everyone buys Call of Duty for the single player.
If the WiiU had been a runaway success, MS and Sony might have dropped price to compensate but it isn't. If your audience is still willing to pay $300 for PS3s and 360s, why not let them? They sure aren't jumping ship to Nintendo.
I was surprised Sony mentioned none of the four (or is it five?) free to play games that will be available on PS4. There were a few missteps in the presentation but overall, I was pleased.
As for paying for online, I've been a Plus member from the beginning and I see no reason to quit now. Sony is only going after the Xbox audience that is more than happy playing $60 a year for online play. Except in this case it's $50 with more incentives.
1. Yes. the attached vid has a disclaimer that confirms it.
2. The way I understood it, Gaikai would be like Netflix where you are paying for access to every PS3 game.
Child soldiers? Awesome!
Wait, that came out wrong...
