all this disinformation about bluray was started by microsoft's wording in the contract to bring GTA-IV to the 360. Those of who were around did a wtf-doubletake at the wording that required both console versions to be identical. The whole DVD9 is just fine for this gen sprung from the damage control that move required. #1.11
why are 360 fans so dense? we all know the holiday push might have put the 360 over the Ps3 but what they are talking about is who sold better for most of the year. reading comprehension is not one of your better qualities. #27.2.1
I lol at all the whiners that cry about site bias, they obviously weren't around when these consoles launched and this place was a MS cheerleading section. #17.1.1
i second that notion, the CELL was and is a gamechanger. There are fight scenes in the first RFOM that still can't be replicated on the 360 and even most PC architectures.
In order to help devs out this time around Sony needs to sink money into the DEVELOPMENT TOOLS. This is the only place where MS eats Sony's lunch everytime. As a software engineer I don't want to have to worry about coding down to the metal to make my concepts work. I want a robust API... #1.3.10
I think anyone that thinks it is his/her prerogative to tell someone who paid their own money for a game, not to complain is the epitome of arrogance. #2.5
I like move, I think it's a great way to get a workout. That said, I have to disagree with move implementation in FPS games. To me the fact that you need to wave your weapon in order to pan left or right totally killed the experience for me. Trying to pan to the right spot and then re-aim at your target while they are they most likely using a controller(online) meant you were getting owned 99% of the time. How they could not incorporate left and right analog stick functionality into these... #2.1.1
when you think it through this is not a good sign. It sounds like MS is testing the digital download waters as a way of getting around the "bluray" dilemma. To see this blow up in their face means that they don't have ANY plan for a new storage format next gen. Can you imagine two generations of gaming held back because of MS shortsighted strategies.
Im not a fan of the series so I dont really care but the way it was explained to me was:
"imagine all the choices and actions you made throughout the trilogy meaning absolutlely squat in the ending."
now for a game that built it's reputation on it's legendary story arc and how the decision tree affects it, I would say that is a pretty huge fail and worthy of a refund. #2.2
that being said, I can't stop playing this game. It basically has the best of all worlds. Starcraft, Tribes 2, Unreal Tournament, armored core....etc etc
If lightbox enhances gameplay even more we might have a game changer for the PS3. #1
"Ninja Theory is one of the most overrated developers ever."
I wouldn't go that far, some of the gameplay concepts they fleshed out in HS are things that will probably be the norm come next gen. (Repel the invading hordes with a catapult anyone?)
or how bout bullet time at the bridge when you have to nail the soldiers trying to kill your father with a well placed arrow each time?
I STILL go back to HS to play those sequences as... #1.1.16

It's only cool to be "gay" today because homosexuals don't reproduce, thus making them darlings of the population control crowd. #2.2

ritsuka666 has spoken and now we have nothing left. We must just deal with it.
