Its actually pretty smart. They let you play a regular MLB The Show exhibition game that acts as a tutorial while the game loads up. Better than sitting around and watching a loading screen for 15 min.
Both systems are good. But I would personally recommend the PS4. - The PS4 has a much larger community than xone (so chances are he might know more people with a PS4). - PS4 has the 2 highest rated exclusive games (The Last of Us Remastered (95) and Bloodborne (93). - PS4 has the best videogame baseball series on the market today MLB The Show. - PS4 has a solid lineup of exclusive titles that span all genres (Ex: Infamous...
Ive got my copy of MLB15 The Show 10th Anniversary Edition already ordered and ready for pick up.
@Deadpoolio - Sony hasn't bought either Ready At Dawn or Quantic Dream. Both studios are still independent and able to also develop games for Xbox or Wii U. However, both studios have worked very closely with Sony over the years and have publicly stated they are currently enjoying their on-going business relationship developing games exclusively for PlayStation.
With all of this talk lately of "too many remasters and not enough new IP's", its good to see Sonys first party studios like Guerilla, Media Molecule, Sucker Punch, Sony Bend, Evolution, Sony Japan Studios (and even 3rd party projects like Ready At Dawn and Quantic Dream) are all working on brand new exclusive IP's for the PS4.
I played Titanfall on PC. It wasnt a bad shooter at all. But it definitely felt incomplete and like it was missing something. The sequel definitely needs an actual single player campaign.
If people are deducting points for the game being "too hard" thats on the gamer....not the game. If thats the case they must have missed out on other great difficult games over the years like the Ninja Gaiden series.
Killzone has always been one of my top favorite shooter franchises. I feel its always been under rated. I get that its not as popular as Halo or COD, but its still a top quality shooter with an awesome online multiplayer. I also feel the same about Sonys other big shooter Resistance. Difference is where I feel Resistance always has a better story than Killzone, I have to give the edge to Killzone in terms of graphics and multiplayer online.

@Biggamehunters - if you want to criticize Guerillas campaign stories and plot, thats one thing. But to say the gameplay is weak in their games shows you have no idea what you are talking about. Gameplay and graphics have always been strengths in Guerillas past games. That being said, Im very excited to see more about Guerillas new IP project. I hope we see more at E3 or Gamescom.
Hes too busy being "outraged" about a game he doesnt own or has even played....like every other xbox fan that came out of the woodwork to bash MLB The Show over something that doesnt even affect them.
Id rather Nintendo take all the time they need and give us a good delayed game rather than a crappy rushed game that wasnt ready. As a PS4, WiiU, PC gamer...I have plenty of games to keep me busy in the meantime.
You know a game like Bloodborne is something really special when even an anti-Sony site like Polygon gives it a 9.0.
Ive already got my copy of the MLB15 The Show 10th Anniversary Edition pre-ordered and ready for pickup. For an extra $10, you get a collectors steelbook case, a DualShock 4 controller skin of your favorite MLB team, over $25 worth of in game digital bonus packs and 31 Dynamic Themes (valued at $3.50 each) of each MLB baseball team.
Im glad to see IGN is as impressed with Bloodborne as pretty much every other gaming website on the internet. As far as the debate with IGNs review of Evolve, in my opinion, Evolve is nowhere near the same quality as Bloodborne. But like ive said many times before, reviews are just another gamers opinion. If you want to get a full idea of how Bloodborne and Evolve compare against each other, their Metacritic ratings tell you everything you need to know. Blood...
@manoftheyear - you mean kind of like how Ryse was originally an xbox360 kinect game that got delayed and pushed up to the xbox one launch lineup? Its very easy to just list off a bunch of games. Sony has several announced games coming up too like Until Dawn, Tearaway Unfolded and Ratchet & Clank Rebooted. Talk to me *after* those games you listed actually get confirmed 2015 release dates. Its amusing how xbox fans keep asking the same question....but non...
@Yetter - Its those same editors and reviewers of videogame news outlets that have been giving Bloodborne all of those incredible 9.0 and 10.0 review scores. So why wouldnt they nominate Bloodborne for Game of the Year if they consider it one of the best videogames of 2015?
@Melmen & Yetter - Keep thinking November is the only month that matters. The year has 11 other months. PS4 fans dont have to wait until the holidays. PS4 gamers already have an overall solid lineup of AAA exclusives to enjoy so far in 2015 with Bloodborne, The Order 1886 and MLB15 The Show. Since you guys want to ignore indie games, what AAA exclusives does Microsoft have planned with confirmed release dates from January until the holidays? If PS4's November looks sl...
@Zeref - PS4 gamers can say to you good luck playing Bloodborne on the Xbox. And they dont have to wait until the end of the year to play it. So whats your point exactly? Both systems have good games. No reason to get all bitter over it.
@Lev1903 - "Which great games does Sont have for the rest of the year. Without uncharted it looks like its empty." - Lev1903 It amazes me how some people think November in the U.S. is all that matters. They forget the year has 11 other months. You also seem to obviously be ignoring all of the quality indie games as well. While some people are waiting for November to experience big retail exclusive games on the Xbox, gamers on the PS4 already have an...
