Congrats to Sony on the PS4's continued worldwide success. Well deserved.
The PlayStation brand has built a strong and very positive reputation for itself over its 20 year history. Sony will continue to maintain their lead because they have already proven during the PSone, PS2 and PS3 era that they will continue to support their systems with quality gaming experiences long term and not just for the first couple of years. Sony just needs to continue releasing games all year long and keep introducing new AAA blockbuster IP franchises (like The Last o...
@SoftwareLover - You are correct. We are all gamers, but we are a gaming civilization made up of different communities. But that is not meant as a bad thing. Everyone has different tastes and opinions. Its what makes gaming such a special culture. @MichaelLito - Just like all of the times Shuhei Yoshida has sent public messages to Microsoft over the years wishing them good luck and congratulating them on their accomplishments. Its always great to see professional courtesy fro...
Congrats to Sony and Bloodborne on reaching 1 million sales so quickly. Like I said before, its definitely well deserved for an incredible game that is probably 2015s first major AAA Game of the Year contender. You know a game like Bloodborne is something truly special when even members and officials from other gaming communities are impressed and can appreciate all of its accomplishments and early success.
Also, its always great to see the gaming community supporting new IP franchises.
@Volkama - I dont understand your point. What is there to compare exactly between Bloodborne and The Order 1886? Yes they both released around the same time. The main difference is Bloodborne already has more of a cult following being associated with the Souls games while The Order 1886 is making a name for itself for the first time. Either way, Bloodborne sold 1 million copies while The Order 1886 sold around 700,000 - 750,000. Both are very good sales num...
@Spacedelete - you're assuming The Order 1886 passing 700,000 sales in 6 weeks are bad numbers. The Order 1886 is a very under rated game that mostly gets hate from people that didn't even play it. It may not be as critically acclaimed as Bloodborne, but its still a future franchise for Sony with a lot of potential.
Congrats to Sony and Bloodborne on reaching 1 million sales so quickly. Definitely well deserved for an incredible game that is probably 2015s first major AAA Game of the Year contender.
My friends and I all tried to get into Advanced Warfare, but those exo suits just killed it for us (Im surprised to see so many people felt the same way). We all eventually went back to playing Ghosts instead for our COD sessions. But Im going to hold my judgement on Black ops 3 until I see more about the game.
There is a big difference between a temporary retail store promotion and a permanent official price cut. The Anti-Sony people commenting on here know that for a fact, but are desperately looking for reasons to bash PS4 anyway. Its usually the same group of bad apples that go from Sony article to Sony article trying to bash PS4. Just ignore them and let them use their weak excuses if it helps them feel better.
@XHeavyX - I agree with you. Its amazing how many Anti-Sony fans come on here and pretend to be PlayStation fans. It fools other anti-Sony fans into thinking "even PlayStation fans arent satisfied with Sony". The truth is PS Plus is still a very good value. Without PS Plus, there would be no Games with Gold on Xbox Live.
Both systems have their strengths and weaknesses. But its easy to see why the PS4 is so popular. Not only is the PS4s worldwide sales lead continuing to grow every month, but PS4 also has the 2 highest rated AAA retail exclusive games: The Last of Us Remastered (95) and Bloodborne (93), backed up by an overall pretty solid lineup of games that span across all genres like Infamous Second Son, Killzone Shadow Fall, MLB The Show, LBP3, DriveClub etc...and PS4 still has the deepest library of qua...
Every major Sony first party studio is working on either big franchise sequels or brand new IP's. E3, Gamescon and Tokyo Game Show are all going to be very interesting shows for Sony this year. We already have new IP's from Evolution, Sony Japan Studios and even a 3rd party exclusive from Ready at Dawn. Then we have Guerilla, Media Molecule, Sucker Punch, Sony Bend and 3rd party studio Quantic Dream all working on brand new exclusive IP's. ...
Heavy Rain was definitely a better game than Beyond Two Souls.
Unless Quantic Dream is working on a sequel for Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls or Farenheit (doubtful since all of those games were one off stories), chances are pretty high its another new IP.
With all of this talk lately of "too many remasters and not enough new IP's", its good to see Sonys first party studios like Guerilla, Media Molecule, Sucker Punch, Sony Bend, Evolution, Sony Japan Studios (and even 3rd party projects like Ready At Dawn and Quantic Dream) are all working on brand new exclusive IP's for the PS4.
If youre one of the millions of new PS4 owners that had a 360 or Wii and didnt own a PS3 last gen and didnt get the chance to play the Uncharted series, then the answer is most definitely yes, its worth picking up
This is great news for all of the millions of new PS4 gamers this generation that had a 360 and Wii last gen and missed out on this incredible franchise.
Its amazing really. Some people arent giving DriveClub the credit it deserves. The single player was always very good but it caught a lot of negative press when it was overshadowed by the rocky online multiplayer. Evolution has done a good job of getting the multiplayer smoothed out and constantly adding new content and updates. Now DriveClub has steadily become a very good new IP racing franchise.
