no denying it, my niece and nephew like babies and trucks respectively. I, however, would rather not play games that mirror my day-to-day life. Barring, of course, the possibility that my day-to-day life would suddenly include oblivion-like adventures or gunfights from which I could respawn.
jack thompson should jump all over this game masquerading as a little girl's dream. pony brutality!!
i'm holding out for how to mod it to the reaper's scythe.
i played the first demo and i think you'll be pleased with the variety of gameplay. the premise is that in acquiring folk you acquire different tactics (of defense, attack, etc.).
wow, I just played the demo and came away thinking, "huh. weird." which doesn't directly translate into 9/10...but if it continues to get really positive reviews I'll pick it up. you can only get so much from a demo.
@ Keowrath: the first one. and the whole folk grabbing action was bizarrely satisfying. thanks! i'll dl the new one tonight.
yeah, I love making the argument for video games as art. i mean they incorporate theatre, story-telling, written, visual and audio elements, and they're interactive! they're the next level of art!
Truly awesome ridiculousness. as a "grown-up girl gamer" I think they should tack on "Imagine: Paying Bills" and "Imagine: Doing Laundry" and then bundle the whole series into "Imagine: Everything You Have to Do Every Day for the Rest of Your Life". YAY!
And for the guy that made these games: "Imagine: Sleeping on the Couch". ;)
@Syko: LOL.
i was interested in it until i actually saw it at e3, then i was completely unimpressed. but i see what they're trying to do, and the potential there, so i just hope that the e3 demo was just too early and that they are living up to all their talk.
Dutch everywhere are offended. er, or at least the ones that are on N4G and read this.
looks awesome; can't wait.
some people wear their crazy on the outside.
ur right, less sense.
ugh, seriously? i don't believe that the demand is outstripping their ABILITY to supply this far from launch (and with Christmas something of a set date that nintendo's elves can plan for). it seems they continue to choose to limit supply to increase the hype. "wii sells out the second straight holiday season." c'mon guys, soccer moms are camping out and eight year olds are crying...
@Rooftrellen: they don't make them one at a time. ;) buck up soldier, it sound...
well, this is certainly "authentic" in that it's rife with typographical errors, lol.
a lot of the points they cite as being troublesome for Bungie are likely, and if they're true then it would be good for the studio to be out from the umbrella. whether or not they actually are out remains to be seen (what's up with these "sources"?? it's like a 10th grade rumor mill).
unlikely. it's ted's studio, it would be like steve jobs leaving apple or bill gates leaving MS.
wow, it went up on gamebrink late last night. definitely a case of new/news to me, lol!
i'm not surprised there's been a spike in system sales, there were probably some hardcore fans just waiting for this game to pick up a 360, and i always tell people that if they know of only one game they really want to play, they should buy the console, b/c there will be more games they'll want. however, i still think that most that purchased the game already had the system. i don't think these "one game that will save a system" or "one game that will sell a system" are...
not sure about some of the detractors above, this is typical of a hardware upgrade, and if manufacturing costs have gone down (as is also typical at this stage) a price drop wouldn't be improbable.
ugh, it kills me that this study was funded. couldn't someone have just handed me $5 and asked, "do study efforts affect grades?"
yes.
"did playing video games in college detract from your study efforts?"
yes.
ridiculous.
r u serious? it's tongue in cheek.
