Been so swamped lately I haven't had a chance to fire it up. And I'm a HUGE MGS fan so I'm really pumped to check out the demo. What are your impressions?
November 6th is going to be one of the greatest days in gaming for 2012 =)
It's really fun, very addictive gameplay! Who in the world doesn't want to play as a raptor or hunt a T-Rex =)
It certainly lived up to the hype!
Agreed! I'll be indulging in some heavy gaming this weekend as well ;7
I third this sentiment ;)
Ha, Bubble for you sir. It's a fantastic game and a refreshing change of pace. It certainly should be in the running for GOTY. There are many other great titles coming out though so the competition will be tougher than ever this year...can't wait =)
A built in mini Fridge would be epic optimus! Regarding the screen size I went with a 27" and it's perfect. The standard tube CRT's for the higher end units are 26" so it's very close to spec. 5.1 surround isn't necessary but it sure does sound great =) You could get away with 2.1 if you were on a budget for sure. It's all about what you want to put into it.
You don't need a high end gaming PC for the brains of the beast but you would b...
You can absolutely go that route as well optimus. Although I never personally found any used cabinets that were reasonably priced. And the dimensions would also be set in stone so if you wanted a bigger monitor, joystick controls or different audio hardware you would still have to modify the structure and layout extensively.
My builder was very reasonable and went over every aspect of the project. Worth every penny to get the exact design, look and features you want IMO...
Me and you both Canadian Turtle! I've played F-Zero on it every week since it has been up and running. For whatever reason it's just that much more fun playing it on the Arcade Cab. If you're a fan of old-school games you can't go wrong with one of these units. It has been a huge hit with everyone who's seen it to say the least =) A nice addition to any den or man cave!
Between $300-350 for materials excluding the PC, X-Arcade Stick, 5.1 Surround Sound, Vinyl Graphics and LCD display.
It should look amazing maxed out. Can't wait to play it on my Aurora R3 =) Wish it was coming out this year but that just gives the devs more time for polish and added content.
Lots of research and preparation but once the materials and parts were in it took roughly 5 full days. It's a blast playing all the classics from Sega and Nintendo on it! My friend Chris (who built the unit) is already getting orders =)
I think a lot of people are gonna dismiss RE6 before they even give it a chance. Those that do are going to miss a great game IMO. And for those that want the classic RE gameplay can just snatch up some of the HD remakes available on either console ;)
Both are day 1 buys for sure! October is going to be busy =)
New IP's mean new experiences and Dishonored looks likely to impress come this October!
Agreed! This one looks really unique. New IP's are always welcome =)
Well said, it's heavy on nostalgia but WayForward also threw their own spin on it to make it feel totally new and fresh.
That is a little surprising. Demo's these days are larger than games themselves years ago, lol. Have you played through it yet?
Gotta make time TrendyGamers =) I'm looking forward to Rising as well Gamehard. Raiden in MGS2 wasn't exactly thrilling but since then he has become quite an awesome character in the series. Should be great!!
