That doesn't even make sense. What does commenting about a game being difficult have to do with being in a cave? Not to mention, pretty sure you can see a screen better in a cave. And congratulations, beat it in 10 minutes means you looked up all of the shortcuts on Google probably. The point is you could actually lose in Mario, try losing in today's games.

I want nothing to do with this party.

Have you ever seen "GAME OVER" on the screen? There used to be a time when video games were actually difficult. Go try playing Super Mario Brothers, and when you quit on the first level you'll see why a rewind feature is a joke.

I'll be the first to say I think people have high hopes for "next-gen", but in all fairness, you can't really judge quality by a cam recording or whatever.

LMAO a rewind feature? This game officially can't be taken seriously as a simulation racing game.

The idea of a Linux based OS built for gaming is a great idea, but I just highly doubt they will get adequate support from developers. As of now, gaming on Linux is kind of a joke. All you really have are indie titles and a few titles ported over. That would be a monumental effort to actually get developers to take a Linux platform seriously for AAA games. As of now, developers are coding most high end games for Windows, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360,and some for Wii U. Out of all of those the...

EDIT: Nevermind just read other comments. That's kinda pointless, and a little misleading.

No... HDMI can't handle the bandwidth for 1080p 120hz. Just try it. Don't know what a 4k has to do with that?

Single player isn't going anywhere, people need something to play while online game servers are down.

The problem isn't necessarily the CPU, it's more of the GPU. Especially when you're talking high res textures, AA and all the other graphical eye candy.

The Fable game sounds interesting, but I wish they would have shown some type of actual gameplay. Seems like it's supposed to be an MMO, but can't really tell. Either way, I doubt it will compete with FFXIV: ARR. Played the beta and it was amazing. It could have been on Xbox One if it weren't for Microsoft's policies.

How was it more professional? The whole having a crowd in 360 degrees around them seemed pretty cheesy to me. And trash talking your competition is pretty pathetic. And anyone with common sense knows indie development on a Microsoft platform is a joke. All of the crap they're saying is PR crap. Indie developers saying they want to release updates on the fly? LMAO, go for PC then, because game companies have to pay a ton of money to release updates on both consoles.

Many reasons. For one, a lot of people have a different understanding of what it means to "max out" a game. As someone else mentioned, there are 120hz and 144hz monitors and higher resolution monitors, triple monitor setups, and 3D gaming (which good 3D requires a lot of performance), etc. For two, a lot of people completely bullshit the performance they get in games. I hear all the time "I get 90 fps in Battlefield 3 on Ultra with a 670." Maybe when you're staring at ...

Wondering what they mean by field upgrades replacing class specializations. Sounds like it could potentially be disastrous.

@newmonday

This has nothing to do with GPUs. If you meant CPUs, it has nothing to do with Nvidia. If you meant CPUs and Intel, then Intel will also benefit from this. Intel has 8 threads on their quad core CPUs (i7) in which they will also benefit a lot from games better use of multiple threads. Not only that, but individual cores on Intel CPUs are faster.

I don't see how a graphics API would increase CPU performance. And I read that the main, maybe even only, difference between DX11 and 11.1 is that they improved texture streaming. So... texture streaming should be greatly improved, but that has never really been a problem in the past for PC hardware/gaming. I'm pretty sure that's primarily an Xbox One enhancement due to the slow video memory for the system. At the same time they probably saw an opportunity to sell gamers on Window...

Yes, I'm obviously using a synthetic benchmark comparison, like I said, it gives a comparison of raw power. Why wouldn't you trust a benchmark? How can you make the argument that the 7000 series is an older card? I compared the 7970 to a 670, they released within a few months of each other. And my comment about Nvidia having better performance with a 780/Titan than AMD is no less valid because AMD won't release a new line of cards. If you would like a c...
