Because Gen 7, has ended and MS was in 2nd place. As a day 1 60GB PS3 owner, im glad they are able to survive due to all of the negative slam articles it has gotten since 06.
Looking forward to Gen 8 Sony and MS, to see which one will be 2nd place this time. (btw Wii won gen7, and WiiU will most likely win gen8)

I have this, and it's actually quite good. The playcalling is real slick and the visuals hold up.
If Sony and MS go the cable box way of gaming, I am not too sure it will take off as intended. People want consoles without being nickel and dimed, and I cannot see this taking off anywhere besides NA and that is a big maybe..
that is the day I will play my Wii U and abandon this site and sites like this where "gamers" cry and moan all day. Just get all the consoles and game, oh also STFU.

Now, looking to buying 8 games at launch. Time to retire my PS3 from active gamming. itll be used for HDD movies, last of us, WWE 13 and the fighters. Everything else..... Wii U.
and if the sales are like the Wii"s launch it will have about 10-12 million by this time next year. MS/Sony are going to have big launches to compete and decent prices.
They are going to have to showcase "big power" to move those units or its a bust...
This year im buying the Wii U version, and my friends can bring over the PS3 version. It's a win win.

i was plan on playing it again. But why at the end of this generation, 1st VF5 now MGS4.
it has an okay CPU, but it has a GPGPU which devs will have to learn to minimize the CPU workload. the tools are there and will need to learn how to use em. Similar things will be said about the new MS/Sony consoles as well.
Hell, i have a launch PS3 and Wii. That was 2006, times have changed and it is time to move on people...
I think the problem is that people this gen were late adopters and are clutching their PS360's but that gen is over. We know why they are extending the cycle, because of the need to recover losses.
If people can't afford to game, then don't complain when the industry passes you buy. We need new consoles and needed them last year, im ready.
