Don't blame the controller because you're to impatient to wait for it to register. It's not buggy. When you change the tv channel it takes a few seconds right? Well so does the xbox guide button. Press it twice and that's it.
If they made it so you have to hold the xbox button, that may work for you

I don't look down on people, but I missed out on all the Mario games & Nintendo exclusives since N64. The WiiU and Xbox one. In my honest opinion, they're the only true next Gen consoles. I use to laugh at the WiiU until a friend got one and explained how it was everything that Xbox is missing. I get the perfect fix with them. Halo and Nintendo first parties. Everything else is icing on the cake.
