Market share no but by revenue they are the third largest gaming company, moving some titles that make sense could just be a strategy to increase that number.

Which is also something MS has repeatedly said in the past Phil Spencer himself has said they would go multi platform where it makes sense.

The First episode is almost as long as the original game and too some could be longer depending on how you play.

They could have put almost no effort into it and still made a ton of money.

So how is that in any way a cash grab.

Food
Our food supply chain is owned by a few mega corps.

Our groceries chains are owned by a few mega corps

These are also largely regional.

So one has a monopoly in one part of the country and another has a monopoly in another part.

R* suits pushed shark cards the devs who the brunt of the work don't deserve the leaks.

@redgrave not an excuse an explanation for why this game has less features. Not my problem you don't understand how game development works or development in general. When you move to a knew platform some things need to be rebuilt from the ground up.

I am currently migrating one of our services we provide to our customers to the cloud version and having to rebuild a lot of the add-ons we had built for them over the years.

But go ahead and keep critici...

That game was using a new engine and had to be rebuilt from the ground up.

Money, developing games is costly and unless they have a game that prints money and keeps the lights on some studios have no choice but to deliver half baked games.

I can guarantee to you if it was up to the actual developers they wouldn't release the games until they where ready.

This isn't true Discord reached out to several companies, and MS offered $12 billion.

Discord ultimately decided against it and will go public instead as they are valued at $15 billion.

Discord rejected the offer it had nothing to do with Sony.

Actually they are like number 4 or 5 and the AB purchase might put them at number 4 solidly. This is just using gaming revenue and not the company as a whole because that would make MS number 1 by a margin to large for any of these companies to overcome. That said I still don't like the idea of exclusivity for any console would love to see Gears on PS and GOW on Xbox so everyone can enjoy these games regardless of console choice.

1 and 2 may be swapped they really are n...

@Crows90

"PlayStation is the biggest gaming brand next to Nintendo.....they could've bought a lot throughout the years."

Sony as whole made 36B in profit in 2022. Much of that is gaming FYI probably about 75%

MS made 55B in profit in the last quarter of 2022 alone.

Sony does not have the money to buy whoever they want the AB deal for MS is 3 months of profits for Sony its 1.5 years or 18 months.

John Linneman made that comment, he said "maybe MS considers the Series X as the upgraded model.

This was never said by MS we really need to stop with these click bait sites and headlines.

MS never said that it was DF that made that speculation.

Actually its not even with these purchases MS fails to crack the top 3.

The bigger get for MS isn't COD but mobile gaming, candy crush and developer King in particular yet no one seems to want to mention that.

That plan better is taken out of context and if you read the article you would know that.

He was specifically speaking to future games they may develop as they would already have experience with the console and could better plan to overcome its limitations as they would have more knowledge of how it works.

"He goes on to say that devs should find it easier once they've moved onto their second game for the platform, since they can "plan bett...

They would only have to pay royalties if the contract called for it. They could commission them as work for hire with the stipulation they get paid what they get paid and nothing more it happens all the time.

@ RYNXIE Sony most profitable division is its games and services which brings in alone nearly 1/4th of all revenue.

So yes they do in fact need PS while losing it wont kill them as business it will really hurt as it would to any company losing a 4th of your revenue.

Its called learning from feedback.

A lot of people complained about it, and they know they need to impress people with actual games.

It's not about whats "convenient for them", its about what they need to do to get people excited again f\or Xbox future.

If you don't like why don't you just ignore it.

It literally doesn't effect you in any way unless you allow it too.
