"Higher framerate actually makes the game play smoother"
No sh*t, dude. And here I was, thinking that 60 FPS was slower than 30 FPS.
A strong emphasis on building believable cultures + exploration as a primary focus of the gameplay = me like dis.
Poor storytelling is a poor storytelling. Period.
I'm officially worried about the future of Mass Effect.
It certainly outdoes The Last of Us' remaster, not so sure about GTA V's - there, Rockstar not only dramatically changed the visuals, but also significantly improved the gameplay (hundreds of new songs, first-person mode, fixed AI, plenty of other things I can't remember now).
Do you even realize that creating an average high-budget game from the ground up takes much more time, money and people, than remastering a couple of existing titles?
Going by your wonderful logic, if all games were rated based by "the work that was put into them", all of them would receive 10/10s.
And I have a problem with that. Not every developer out there has talent and funds to create vibrant, detailed and interesting open-worlds, like Rockstar Games does or Bethesda Game Studios. Many of them fail in that matter, creating huge empty maps without a place for decent storytelling... I'm talking about you, Just Cause 2.
In general, I'd like to see more of semi-open world games such as Batman: Arkham Asylum or Dishonored, since they're easier to do for smal...
The Force wasn't Awake back then yet.
They are quite possibly the most retarded high-budget game company in the world. A few examples from the top of my head:
1. Wii U version of Rayman: Legends was done (it was supposed to be a Nintendo exclusive at the beginning), but after they decided to release it on other consoles as well, they... postponed the Wii U version so that it could be released at the same time with other versions.
2. Watch_Dogs' release date was postponed by more than a half y...
Thank you for that informative post. We'll make sure to send you a present.
Assassin's Creed and 'innovation'? Are you f*cking kidding me?
Or, you could watch a playthrough on YouTube. Now.
Actually a shitty list. How in the world Spyro, Final Fantasy IX, Bully or Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, are considered 'forgotten'?
I'd say Destiny is actually pretty decent. I played it on PS3 until I traded it in (to have more money for other games), but I often think about going back to it again, on the PS4 - and that's a sign it sucked me in.
It can only get better, with sequels coming every two years, along with big DLCs for them.
I'd like to see more celebrities in general. It really is a big plus for a video game if it has not only a voice, but also a full facial and body performance, from your favourite actor. Kojima's idea to place Norman Reedus as a protagonist of the Silent Hills blew my mind.
What if they made a mod, that would replace Alien with a naked rapist?
Now this is the Final Fantasy I've been waiting for since FFX.
Karma has got them. Perhaps if they though about the players instead of money while making games, they'd end up in a much positive situation.
On the other hand, Activision and EA are still going well and strong...
One of the worst games I've played this year - so disappointed. Even Watch Dogs was a bit better than that.
Good for you.
Stupid Americans.
