I don't think you understand the article. It's not saying that the publishers/developers aren't making money from the deep discount sales, it's saying that the sales might be devaluing the worth of games in gamer's minds. It's much the same argument of iPhone/Android games for $1 devaluing PSP/DS games for $30. I'm not entirely sure if I agree with it, but it does make a lot of sense. #1.1
