Those figures are without AA, but everything thing else to set max. At 1080p I can use 4XAA and get around 40-60 FPS. Still more than acceptable performance, considering frame dips in this game are hard to detect above 30 due to motion blur. Personally though I don't see a big difference in Crysis with AA on or off.. so I leave it off. View

"In fact I dont think there is a single GPU available on the market today that can handle the game at 1080 with a stable 30+ FPS"

My 5970 can run it at a locked 60 frames at 1920x1080

At 2560x1600 (higher than 1080p) I can run it 40 FPS average

Crysis has been defeated. View

@cgoodno:

Team Typoon are the same guys that hacked the 3000.. why would they lie? This isn't a bunch of no name kids. View

What are you getting at, it's running under a custom OS - 6.10 Typoon.

By the sound of it you only consider a system hacked when it can run pirated games. The DRM for PS Store titles has nothing to do with the core of the firmware itself.

Technically, you could accomplish what you're asking for without even fully hacking the system. Kernel level access on the other hand, no. View

No it is a hack of the PSPgo -.-

Yes a modified save file is used, but this gives FULL access to user mode, meaning almost every homebrew application can be run under it, aside from custom firmware and ISO loaders. Don't know about you but I'd consider that a hack. View

Yeah, I fully agree. Would be nice if one of the developers or Sony themselves put an article about it up on the PlayStation Blog to help get the word out there. View

Well to be fair I wouldn't call him a "douche." He was specifically asked how it feels to have his game rated higher than K2. What else would you say?

Honestly the interviewer here asked a stupid question. View

No, it can be patched through firmware. The exploit works through the GripShift savegame. Sony just has to add a check to make the save is not modified. View

Yeah, this the GameCube remake, only ported over to Wii. Funny that you say it looks great. I mean it does, but this remake came out in 2002. No enhancements have been made to the Wii version other than a retooled control scheme. View

Well of course. Killzone 2 does look dated compared to recent PC titles. Despite this, it is still one of the best looking console titles. View

It's near impossible to use 100%. Not only this is hard to achieve from a technical perspective but it can cause issues. For example if a game is truly using 100% of the PS3's power, and the user goes to access in-game XMB, it would lag like crazy. 60%-80% is as good as you're going to get. People of course will not agree with this, but it is the truth. View

I've only played the PC version, but for me this is GOTY material. Game looks absolutely amazing at max settings too.

BTW you need to play on Expert mode :) The game is far too easy on Normal or Hard. View

This article is inaccurate. Kotaku's traffic has not dropped 50 percent...

"Maybe not all sites are doing it for hits but this one looked like it was just trying to get hits and put out fake names and such as winners. I mean it's bad enough that this beta is out as the Socom beta is still going on and now it's worse since the beta for LBP is being handled horribly."

I fully agree. This one is totally fake. It's interesting that the only people sticking up for "What if gaming" in this news post all have submitted numerous stories from the site in the past.

Also I had a look at their site and they rip off stories from other reputable sites like Kotaku without sourcing. In short, I highly doubt SCEA gave them any keys.

If they keep this up it's only a matter of time before an admin catches wind of it and bans the site for good. View
