Hope it doesn't end up like Wheelspin and unlike Bethesda, they take their time on it. View

Agreed. Tony Hawk needs to end his skating franchise once and for all, i mean, we have Skate

and Wii Fit (considering for the fact that Wii Fit is definently MUCHbetter than that game, because Wii Fit actually works). View

It's not Nintendo's fault, it's Bethesda's fault because they didn't at all care what they published for the Wii and ended up publishing Awesome Game's Wheelspin.

@ FxckOSX

Yeah, so Super Mario Galaxy sold poorly and got bad scores. You can like the game or hate it as much as you want, but you can't deny these scores.

Some third-party games are great too. The Conduit and No More Heroes for example.

I'm suprised that Wheelspin isn't a DDI game. I fear that there will be two DDI's in the world, DDI and Awesome Games. View

Just another reason to buy the game!
They need to put this on the back of the box!! JK

But seriously, this game sounds even more awesome!! View

@ EvilTwin
I would think developers are alienated because they want to expand on more powerful machines (PS3, 360) and develop games that would control like PS2 and Xbox games of the past. Developers don't want to experiment. View

What a great law for...............
This is going to fail badly, especially since Venezuela doens't have a ratings board AND still has to deal with drug cartels. Now they will have to ban violent movies, books, music, and have to impeach Hugo Chavez. View

Agreed
Nintendo has some really good first and second party developers by it's side (Retro, Hudson). I look at great games like MW2 and Uncharted, and think "Where is Retro's new game??" View

Mista T said: what I see are mounds of shovelware

Yes, shovelware made by alientated third-party developers and DDI. View

Agreed. Instead of just adding HD, release a new console with a large hard-drive, hardcore support, and great online. Keep the motion controls and try to do something new with the system.

Nintendo needs to make the Wii 2 with a more hardcore audience in mind, while keeping the casual audience happy as well. I'm starting to feel families may start to move to the PS3, which will now have a wand AND has the tech to back it up. I wouldn't have said this 4 months ago, but now the price drop and the PS3 Slim will make it a competitor.

@ n4f

I would imagine HD-resolution games would require more data. View

My three factors
The main reasons that developers will not develop for are:

The Wii's lack of HD graphics. However, the Wii is as powerful as 3 Xboxes, and hasn't been pushed to it's limits yet. Even Quantam3 didn't really push it.

And most developers will not spend more money on a port. The Wii used to have bad memory space, but Nintendo managed to give us a solution to that (which worked out by the way).

A third factor that may alienate third-party developers, the VERY bad online system. No DLC support OR friend codes may alienate most third-party developers. I have a feeling that "The Conduit" may have sold many more units if there were no friend codes (no one bought the game for the single-plsyer alone). View

The real reason why Capcom put this game on rails. LAZINESS. View

Really great box art. I'll definently play this game.

Man, at this rate, I hope The Conduit 2 has black box art. View

Very sad that the PS3 is more powerful and it is being cheated on by IW. This would probably have never happened if IW never focused more on the 360 version. View

@ O2 Addict
The reason that MadWorld sold so badly was because of the gore, art-style, and repetitiveness of the game.

All the Call of Duty games on the Wii sold VERY well.

"Bowling also suggested that Infinity Ward could work on new IP after the release of Modern Warfare 2, though at the same time insisted that the studio was still enjoying making Call of Duty games."

Infinity Ward better make a new franchise, because by if I see Modern Warfare 3 in 2011, Call of Duty franchise will be pretty old by then. I don't want Infinity Ward to be the company that milks it's franchise until it gets pretty old (*cough*, *cough*, Bungie Studios). View

Really, Treyarch, really????????
It's not that the Wii can't produce good hardcore games, it's that third-party developers don't really about the games they are making. Dead Space Extraction is a GREAT example. View

If Miyamoto is dissapointed in Japanese sales then....
He should release a new Wii (and DS, maybe with a Wii/DS connection) Star Fox game in North America and Europe, where they will be better recieved and will sell more. Satisfy your fans Miyamoto!

I really want to see a new Star Fox game so bad, I'll buy it for the DS. That is the only DS game I've ever cared about to beat 8 times. View

Reason Why This Is Being Approved
It's weird that CGRHD's reviews are being put up here, but they are good in most cases, so I approve. View
