The game was released too near to Christmas
Uncharted 2 was released at the end of October. Which means if a gamer didn't buy it in the first two weeks of being on sale, when they did go to buy a game there are a lot more games on the shelves, to compete with when there is only a finite amount of spending money. EG Modern Warfare 2, Assassin's Creed 2, FIFA Football, Dragon Age.
Next time, Sony should release Uncharted 3 in a less crowded month. August 2011 sounds okay to me!

The graphics in the trailer look fantastic
Very hi-res and detailed. If they really are in game footage than surely it must be from the PC version? I especially love the missile hitting the mountain. This has potential to fill an Infinity-Ward shaped gap next Christmas.

I read this rumour some time ago on a website that put forward a lot of musical evidence and genuinely seemed to believe it. I don't know if this is proper confirmation yet, but if and when it does come then it is pretty amazing 'secret' story of video games.

I'd love to see a Metal Gear Solid collection complete with HD visuals & Trophies...
Metal Gear Solid 1-3 are fantastic games but inevitably, as with all videogames, the graphics age quicker than the gameplay. A nice fresh coat of paint, added trophy support, and these great stealth games are accessible to a new generation as well as old-timers who want to visit some of the best games of the last generations!
Would absolutely love an Ico & Shadow of the Collossus collection too. I hope this is a trend that grows.

Mass Effect 2 Xbox 360 box DOESN'T say 'Only on Xbox 360'
Microsoft rightfully label exclusives on the front of 360 game boxes. Check out the covers for Halo 3 ODST, and Forza 3 as well as third party games such as Gears of War 2. However the official box design for Mass Effect 2 on Xbox 360 doesn't have this tag.
As DirthHairyJoystick has speculated, it is probably a paid for timed exclusive. This happened with the first Bioshock game. When the 360 version released, 2Kgames had a PS3 version in development but could not reveal anything in case it affected the paid for Microsoft promotions. It's just business. But if a PS3 version is released it would make sense to be 1&2 combined.

Why? First EDGE published the review without the score then they added it over half an hour later. Did they forget the important part at the end? Or was there some last minute discussion where the editor overruled the reviewer?

Halo ODST = Uncharted 2?!! EDGE reveal their 'tastes' yet again
Come on now! The original Halo 3 is a phenomenal game, but ODST was just a polished expansion pack yet EDGE decided to award it a 9. Uncharted 2 is big, beautiful, has new content, and breaks boundaries by having the best voice acting and motion capture in ANY video game that is used skilfully to enhance the great GAMEPLAY experience. Yet they give it the same mark as the Halo 3 expansion pack? I'm an EDGE subscriber but this makes clear which side their bread is buttered.

Is this coming to the USA or Europe?
This really is a great list of improvements and additional features but will we be able to play it? Will the Japanese version have subtitles, or even better, does anybody know if it is coming to the USA or Europe?

I totally agree with your comments. Considering Crecente was a 'proper' journalist working on his local/state paper he really should have known better.
Crecente could have sat on the HOME story in return for a series of future exclusives. However he chose to break the HOME story. A big spoiling tactic. Fair enough, but then he cried about being blackballed by Sony- - who then relented. They shouldn't have. If Kotaku were frozen out of all Sony press events they would have soon suffered in a loss of website visitors.
Videogame journalism is relatively new field. This is no excuse for a lack of integrity and high journalistic standards. Every major videogame website should try to be balanced, fair and honest.

Europe = 14th October. UK = 16th October
I just wanted to clear up any confusion, as Europe and the UK are classified slightly differently here. Mainland Europe gets Uncharted 2 on the 14th October. The UK gets it on the 16th October.
Traditionally many games are released on a Wednesday (14th October) in Europe. Whereas in the UK they are released on a Friday (16th October. I hope that helps!

Sega should be applauded. This support should be standard in all games.
A friend of a friend has the use of only one hand, because most games are designed for two-handed people, this means that he is excluded from playing many games. It can be heartbreaking for him to see some beautiful looking games which he has no chance of playing.
The reality is that there are many gamers who have a disability of one form or another, whether it be with their limbs, hearing, eyesight or even colour-blindness. Yes they make up a small percentage of the gaming public, but publishers shouldn't ignore them. They should realise they could also be paying customers if supported. This is why Sega should be applauded with this step. Hopefully it becomes standard with all games.

@ Raf1k1 In the UK you can use the PS3 as a DVR.
In the UK and Europe, free TV has begun the phasing out of analogue broadcast, and changing to digital broadcasts. In the UK this means that the 5 main channels and a whole lot more (not all good) are available for free if you have a 'Freeview' digital set-top box, which is built into most new tvs.
The PlayTV is an advanced 'Freeview' attachment for the PS3. Using the PS3's hdd for storage it allows you to record one tv channel whilst watching another, or even whilst playing a PS3/PS1 game. Kind of like Tivo.
One of the best features is the PSP connectivity. If you have a PSP (and an internet connection) you can watch live TV broadcasts & library recordings sent from your PS3. That means that any where there is Wi-Fi you can watch TV. Recordings to take up a lot of HDD space so it is good to upgrade to a 500gb. But I use one and it is a nifty bit of kit!
