Teeter first came out on HTC Windows Mobile phones to show off the accelerometer, now the game is included on all HTC phones that have a accelerometer, clones on other phones exist as well. View

Over 3 million units sold by the end of November is lackluster? Especially considering it got no where near the marketing push that Halo 3 did?

Halo Wars is a better example, it sold just over 1.5 million the last I've heard, it's a great game and Ensembles Swan song, it should sell more. View

Since this generation started reports have been saying that most AAA games need to break the 2 million unit barrier to turn a profit because development costs are rising so much.

That being said, Uncharted 2 has sold what, over 1 million thus far? I'm sure it will almost triple that, perhaps make it to 3.5 million by the end of 2010/early 2011.

I for one know of a few people who want to get Uncharted 2 but are holding off on it for a few days because of most Uni/College exam schedules (your gaming time really takes a hit when you are a full time post secondary student). I'm positive most AAA titles will see some sort of a boost this holiday because of that. View

Dyack only spoke once this year, I'm sure their are more deserving people to be on that list.... View

I could see this happening in MMO's, although it has been a while since I've played a Sony MMO, don't they have something called Galaxy Pass where you pay a monthly fee of $24.99 or something to that extent and have access to all Sony MMO's?

Sony is attempting to port some of their first party MMO's to the PS3, I could see such a service making its way to the PSN if need be. View

They do have ads to a certain extent, items that are highlighted on the market place are most probably because the publishers paid for it. Home has ads in it as well, I guess to a certain extent we can see Qore as an ad. View

Yes, Sony did it with Lik Sang, Nintendo did it with a few places recently over the Nintendo DS stuff. View

BioWare has always been BioWare, Black Isle is a completely different studio that was shut down a few years ago, most of the staff created Obsidian Enteratinment. View

A studio that came out of no where made one of the best DC superhero games ever, not to mention the Unreal Engine looks amazing in Batman: AA.

I think they deserve some credit, Infinity Ward and Naughty Dog are already established studios who have received much praise over the years. View

Parapraxis: Forza did chart in Europe, it sold pretty ok in Japan as well. Roughly 400-500k in North America (Canada, US), 50-60 in Japan (thanks to the special edition) and the rest could have been made up in Europe.

Europe is a huge market and one that really helps with game sales, they don't get enough credit as they should for that kind of stuff. Forza 3 could have easily moved 1 million in the first month (that was the number given), you really can't lie that heavily to investors, it's called fraud.

On topic: The writer didn't even give an exact sales figure, he just assumed. The Ratchet games have never been big sellers like say Killzone 2 or God of War, that doesn't mean they sell bad, I think almost all of them have moved past 1 million unit sold. View

How is this selling outside of America? View

I agree, I thought both of those games would be in the top 20 at least. I guess for these kind of games a lot of the sales come from Europe. Forza 3 for instance sold over 1 million copies in its first month according to Microsoft a few days ago. It sold what, 300-500k in North America and roughly 50-60k in Japan?

Same thing with games like inFamous, it charted once in the states if I recall yet it moved past the 1 million mark. I feel kinda bad for Sony, inFamous and Uncharted 2 were some heavily advertised games, great games to boot.

It looks like Nintendo is the only one who knows how to push titles in North America, they still have games from the DS launch era charting! View

I don't think Canada is counted in NPD so it is only America.

The numbers must not be big enough here to devote dedicated tracking like NPD in America, Chart Get in Europe, Famitsu and Media Create in Japan, etc. View

Valay: The purpose of the game is to give a 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare' experience to Wii owners. I'm sure Activision is banking that parents were going to pick this up for the Wii when looking for Modern Warfare 2.

"Do you have Modern Warfare for the Wii?" (Not everyone will use the entire name of course)

"Yes we do!" View

There is plenty of hype around this game, you might not care for Perfect Dark but there are plenty of people who do.

Do you even own an Xbox 360? Given your post history, I doubt you do. View

I wonder what his job includes? Halo had amazing music and sound effects, Marty O' Donnel does an amazing job, Halo Wars also had a great yet under appreciated soundtrack. (the composer is Stephen Rippy). View
