One, he doesn't say that anything's confirmed or not, but here's what he pointed out and my thoughts on each:
1. Games for Rent: This could be cool if it was implemented right.
2. Video upload service: I don't know if I would ever use this, and the whole copyright thing that YouTube got into would start again if people begin uploading things like that. It would basically be uploading your videos so people in Home would be able to watch them.
3. Music service: Think a hybrid of a Rhapsody subscription-based service with iTunes-like capabilities. That would be awesome to have, especially if they would have some good tracks to download (we know all about how some of these things just give you lame tracks and nothing really good).
4. Quasi-Dedicated Servers: By that, I mean PSN going in the direction PC gaming is right now. You would be able to shield out those people that have bad connections to decrease lag in games. This would be a sticking point for PSN because we all know about XBL and the lag that some games experience, and how good PSN games are with not having lag (I don't think I've experienced anything yet out of Uncharted 2), that would take things into the stratosphere. I WANT to think that this is the same thing as PC gaming, but I can't say if it's the same thing. But that sounds good.
5. Free access to ALL DLC: He said that he doubts this will come to fruition, but I would LOVE this if it were true. Now, he mentioned ONLY COD:MW2. However, what about the Rock Band DLC (I'd be downloading it ALL)? I also know that Disgaea 3 DLC bundle would be mine, too. That would be a selling point for me, and would really drive sales for the PS3 versions of multiplatform titles.
