I could give a rats ass about VGChartz and it's undertracked, overtracked or null figures. I made a point about the submission pattern that is all.

Everything Orange described about this game just made me excited to see how it all pulls off.
I'm a fan of full clan based planning and strategy type games and this sounds like something that will be very engrossing.
It sounds like a huge MMO PvP war game and that sounds really good to me.

I was just thinking how incredible the war room Home space for this game will be. It might be like the Warhawk war room except on a much much grander scale.
Thinking about all of these possibilities really is starting to build some hype in me for this game. View

Also to add to what n4gzz said. People seem to forget GTAIV sold more copies per system on the PS3 than the 360.
By the time FFXIII rolls out, that space between the two consoles won't be as wide, so you do the math. View

Actually it was only a blow when it was first announced.
By the next day I was done with it. I'm still getting to play the game, so it really isn't a big deal.
There's also a huge load of other great 100% exclusive titles coming to the PS3 so it really isn't that serious.
Square's event is within a few weeks and TGS is only 3mths away, more will be revealed then.
Hopefully there'll be some great surprises. :)

More and more I start realizing I'll have to switch my RPG expectations from the eastern side to the western side.

This is exactly what I've been saying on various message boards.
Sony did rebound from the FFXIII announcement by proving to us that they're focused on what they have coming now as well as the future, exclusively that is.
Microsoft's conference showed absolutely nothing that gave us an idea about where they're going after '08. Everyone was so focused on the FFXIII announcement they didn't realize they have absolutely nothing to exclusively look forward to in '09 at this point.
Maybe at some other event they'll start presenting some games for '09, but then Sony'll present more. Sony will always be a step ahead of Microsoft when it comes to the number of (100%) exclusive titles. View

The 360 version will have to be compressed to facilitate the limited capacity of the DVD medium, PS3's data is fine because of Blu-Ray technology.
