while i sort of agree, i disagree, obviously madden cant be compared to other football games due to exclusitivity, unless you consider the NCAA football, which is an identical clone. Shooters come in different varieties, the yearly cod concept that is being enacted will end up making them the same as the madden series, whats saving them right now is the fact that they have 2 developers, each doing the next year. not that treyarch does any thing new, but people look forward to iw's changes, then you have games like mgs, re, halo, geow which all take a premise and put a spin on it, while shooters have the same central idea, they don't revolve around the same gameplay, and often grow from a basic idea, unlike madden which has not changed in generations, giving a player madden iq and online franchises doesnt fix the fact that the running, tackling and ball physics of the game aren't as realistic as people claim. often times the football bounces up in the air when it would fall to the ground in real life, this has been an issue for years and still there. the improvements of madden dont go as far as they should, imo.
