Spin
There is no doubt Reggie is putting some spin on this, but Nintendo can't afford not to swing for the fence the next console go around.

It's not just graphical prowess that is suffering here. Developers are starting to shy away from putting things on the Wii, just because they can't do as much with it. For those that are arguing about a handful of good games it's flawed logic. Yes, there are good games to be played on the console, but they are very few and far between. View

Lots
Atari 2600, Intellivision, Odyssey 2, ColecoVision, Interton VC 4000, Fairchild to name a few. There were way too many. View

That should help. It's the combination of a peak interest in the market, and the over-saturation of lackluster products that basically led to the crash. Right now, we are at a peak interest in gaming and it could be argued that console gaming is taking a lot of missteps right now. View

RE:
I did say it would be hyperbole to think that we would be getting ourselves into the same situation as we did in 1983, but I do find that some of the similarities are disturbing.

To those that think that I am spelling out gloom and doom, it's not really the angle I was going for. I'm not trying to be the guy on the corner telling everyone that's passing by that the world is about to end. lol. I think there is bound to be a lot of customer distrust when we transfer over to the next generation and it could certainly stint the gaming industry. View

Fixed
Thank you guys for pointing out my horrid grammar. I've fixed what you have talked about. The Playstation being in it's 3rd was a typo, sorry. View

Well...
Well, when you do stuff like that you are burning the pigment out of your skin. The pigment in your skin helps protect from ultraviolet radiation. Too much uv radiation is what gives you melanoma.

It's not the laser that would give your cancer, but having sections of your skin that are pigment-less that would make you super susceptible to getting cancer. View

Well...
If you read the whole thing you would realize that I agree with most of you on this. I think you are just reading the first paragraph then you are getting a different look, maybe some of you didn't realize that the first paragraph is dripping with sarcasm, and that may be my fault for not making it apparent enough.

If you do read through the whole thing though you will note that I make a number game showing that murder and divorce are going down as video game popularity goes up. I play a numbers game, but in the opposite way that these anti-video game jerkwads do.

If you were confused, I apologize, it was a rambling in my personal blog, its still nice to see it on n4g though. Have a good one gamers. View

It seems the embedded video doesn't want to work with Internet Explorer. I looked with IE, Firefox, and Safari, but only IE had this problem. View

Indeed
I bought it new, and tried to convince myself it was a semi-decent game. At nine bucks though, it would be a great game! View

Elaborate
I can only assume Jack Thompson has gotten himself a N4G account, its the only way I could explain such an absurd comment like that. Mario Galaxy and Bioshock suck? In what sense? View

Yes...
A majority of the games are crap yes, but there are quite a few oldies but goodies in there. That coupled with the fact that at 9 bucks each you can afford to take a chance on some of the games you were maybe sitting on the fence with. View
