Quality of BioWare games have DECLINED since going multiplatform
I'm not sure why everyone is ignoring this:

The quality of BioWare games has actually DECLINED since they went multiplatform and started making games for PS3.

BioWare's latest game Dragon Age only scores 87 at Metascores. That's not even good for BioWare, which used to score mostly in the 90s. View

Android will overtake iPhone
Just like Windows PC overtook Mac.

Because Android, like Windows PC, is a much more "free" environment for developers and users. i.e., I can't freely customize and personalize the hardware for a Mac, but I can for a PC. View

Whoa
why would Microsoft even comment on a rumor?!? View

What seems more to happen...
Microsoft will acquire a few studios from EA.

BOTH Microsoft and EA stocks jumped at the rumor, which means the takeover will benefit both companies, as far as the stock market/investors/shareholders are concerned.

And it is very possible. If Microsoft could afford to buy Yahoo, then Microsoft CAN afford to buy EA.

The biggest obstacle to this deal is Sony may file a complaint to FTC, and FTC may not allow it. View

Microsoft/Xbox will be hit the hardest
If OnLive becomes successful, Microsoft and Xbox will be hit harder than Sony or Nintendo -- because Microsoft does not have many first-party studios and exclusive franchises.

All the third-party studios would love to away from Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo consoles. Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo will have to rely on their own internal studios and exclusive titles to attract consumers to their own consoles. Sony and Nintendo will do fine as they have very strong internal studios and lots of franchises, but I don't know if Halo and Gears of War will be enough to keep Xbox afloat.

Microsoft has been "outsourcing" game development and shutting down their own studios, because they think that business model will work and save cost. Now OnLive has really thrown a wrench into Microsoft's plan for the console market.

Sony will take a big hit as well, but Nintendo will be the least affected as long as Nintendo thinks "out of the box", makes innovative products that no one else has and everyone wants. View

The new MechWarrior
The reboot.

Although none of those console titles will be as big as StarCraft II and Diablo III. (i.e., South Korea is going to declare the launch date of StarCraft II as a national holiday; lol, that is how big that game will be.) View

Not all multiplatform games are better on the PC
However, games by Bethesda, BioWare, and Valve are better on the PC.

Square Enix and other Japanese developers ported a few games to the PC... they were horrible. View

Valve really doesn't need Xbox (or PlayStation)
Steam is crapping money for Valve.

Valve's contempt for consoles -- both Xbox 360 and PS3 -- is obvious.

Valve is doing Xbox 360 gamers a big favor by even bother to port their games to a console. The only reason Valve is working on Xbox 360 is because it's easier and faster to port PC games over to Xbox 360 than to another console.

Valve doesn't even want to bother with PS3. View

How do you know Valve doesn't have a relationship with Microsoft?
This may come as a surprise to you:

Valve founders and executives - including Gabe Newell - were former Microsoft employees who became millionaires when Microsoft went public. When Valve was founded, much of the initial investments in the company were made by former Microsoft employees who are current Microsoft executives, (i.e., friends and colleagues of Gabe Newell and Mike Harrington at Microsoft.) Gabe Newell still hangs out and plays golf with his old pals at Microsoft. You can't say that's not a relationship. View
