for me the demo was the same for both platforms
i will just rent the game but i'm not sure for what platform.
IGN says in the review:
"The Xbox 360 version has bits of screen tearing and framerate stuttering."
http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/a...
Gamespot says in the review:
"Visual bugs, momentary pauses, and frame rate drops are relatively common, and somewhat more prevalent in the PlayStation 3 version. We encountered instances of blinking textures, incomplete geometry, and on the PS3, multiple occasions when enemy character models would immediately disappear upon defeat."

It is like they played different games. Also it looks like there are some audio problems with both of them. View

have you read his comments from the original gamasutra story?
see the last comments on the page:
http://www.gamasutra.com/ph...

he said that in the begining he wanted to make it for Ps3 and he was at Sony but they weren't interested.
quote: " I talked to some folks at Sony but they were not interested in carrying the game. Later on I talked to someone from a different division who *was* interested, but by then I had signed with Microsoft and started the XBLA port." "Microsoft called me, rather than me calling them"

he also describes the problems with the xbla requirements. he also adds that "If the next xbox adds even more requirements, as seems to be the natural trend, I would think that small-team games would become nearly impossible."
edit: i've just seen that titntin quoted earlier Blow's comments. sorry for double post View

in the german newspaper
first they are saying that the Tokio is one of the most safe big city in the world (10 times less homicides/population than USA and 4 times less than Germany) and after that they are writing about the violence in the video games. so more violence in video games/virtual world means less violence in real live? you know that this scene happens in Shadow Moses?
maybe it is just a reference to MGS on PS1. View

I will still buy it.
also a question. at page 4 they are writing: "Take note, however, that there are several minutes of install time to be endured, not just at the start, but before each act - albeit graced with a fantastic animated graphic of Snake smoking next to some health warnings." an install before each act? the reviewer says that they run the game from a boxed copy of the PAL release.
"This is especially noticeable if you're running in 1080p - we had to drop our 360's display back to 1080i to get the game to run at an acceptable frame-rate, and this on a brand new 360 running a boxed copy of the PAL release." View

Shockwave explains more in the forums
"Basically the builds we got (as well as the same builds other sites got) were early builds that arrived a couple weeks back. Typically we don't get builds for review that early. I'm guessing this time around, they wanted us to have ample time to really play through the game. Knowing the higher level of difficulty involved with the Ninja Gaiden series, a little extra time to play is a good idea...however this meant that the builds we got were a little earlier than what's supposed to show up on the retail builds.

In the note we got with the review builds, this was mentioned, and recently (Friday) we also got note that the framerate/load times were most notably a result of the builds not being final.

so the final, retail version should be more optimized and so forth...

In most cases, we get a review build a week or so before the game's release, so the code is usually identical to retail code. This time, it came almost a month before the game's release, which meant they were made with not so final code...

The problem is, there are sites out there now basing their score on this...and some are pointing out these issues that should hopefully be addressed.

The dilemma for us was to either hit the embargo, and cash in on all the page views and attention we'd get for getting the review up ASAP, or get it up later, after many other sites post theirs...we choose the later in order to ensure a more accurate review."

and we are still treated like this. before you disagree, consider that we pay the highest price. No 80GB, limited backwards compatibility, no dualshock 3, psn store... I'm not saying that Microsoft or Nintendo are doing better (don't even start that) but it will be nice that for once, one of them to recognize that Europe is becoming a very strong market and they should be treat it accordingly.
