Two Cents...

The irony here is that the PES series hasn't been living up to its name for a few years, meaning it hasn't shown any significant signs of real "evolution", but rather sat on its laurels.

In the meantime, EA has been pushing FIFA forward in leaps and bounds when it comes to honing gameplay and adding authentic depth to a series where it's ALWAYS held the upper hand on presentation, graphics and animation.

Anyone who's played BE A PRO mode in Euro 08 will know that FIFA 09's confirmed BE A PRO career mode is likely to catapult FIFA to the top and leave PES looking rather ordinary this year... unless Konami can pull some genuine evolution out of the bag.

All will be revealed in Sept/Oct. Having played (and reviewed) both series entrants over the last couple of years, my money's on FIFA, folks. View

...try reading the article.

It clearly says that considering the mess (and audience boost) left by Fox attacking Mass Effect, the mainstream media will be on the look out for anything to jump on in order to show that broadcasters are right in pedalling FUD that games are largely pushing porn and filth.

To be honest, the sex scene mini-games in God of War are pointless and in bad taste. They don't influence the gameplay or have any bearing on progress. IMHO they shouldn't be in there, M rating or otherwise. View

Nothing to do with WoW

Once again selective reporting puts videogames in a poor light.

This clip is taken from a recent "Die Super Nanny" show on German TV (she's the woman in black) and this is the opening day where she watches how the 'family' interact - just as they do in Nanny 911 in the states.

The attack is NOT scripted as some here have assumed, but it has absolutely nothing to do with World of Warcraft either.

The kid shown is generally pissed off during the whole show whenever his mother refuses to do whatever he demands. Violence often being his answer when money isn't forthcoming for beer.

It's shameful that someone would use this clip to bash WoW without foundation simply because the kid is sat in front of a computer.

... the article also points online "Wii hunters" in the direction of Wii-Consoles.co.uk, which monitors retail stock supplies and puts the info in one place. Certainly not a known solution.

It also shows that eBay is more favorable than standing in line and that spending a little extra to be sure is probably the way to go.

Plus, not everyone looking for a Wii does know how to get one if the shelf is empty. Seems like a good enough 'public information' article to me. View

Order the Wii search results by price. Some are Charity Wiis looking for as much as 1 million, while there are definitely single units there for as much as 30,000, though it's hard to believe anyone would buy one. View

Sensationalist garbage

Anyone who's actually played The Darkness (on either console) will know full well that this 'comparison' is a sensationalist sham posted by GameTrailers.

Clearly whoever cobbled this trash together simply set the Xbox 360 to a weaker visual profile at the beginning of the game - something you can do for personal preference. You can also add or subtract Gamma settings too.

Trust us, we've got the 360 version here, and it looks NOTHING like it does on the comparison clip. It looks exactly like the PS3 version, the differences are neglible, and certainly not clear in motion. Either looks excellent.
