Should Infinity Ward pander to the PC audience?

GamerZines: Modern Warfare 2 is one of the best games of the year whatever platform you play it on, but it's fair to say that the PC port was missing a few key features.

However according to Mr Bowling they may be about to get a helping hand, "there may be some mod tool news coming in the future", said Infinity Ward's chatterbox.

GamerZines investigates what this announcement may mean for the future of the multiplayer on PC and asks the question:

Tripwire Interactive are certainly not calling it a day after finishing a goldmaster; after various free content upgrades for their killer zombie shooter Killing Floor the past months, they this weekend released four new maps from the Grindhouse Map Making contest. Incredibly, on top of this, they have also released the first free MOD for Killing Floor: Defence Alliance 2.

Joystick Radio Writes: "Modern Warfare 2 is going to have to have a Leaderboard reset, plain and simple. With all the boosting, glitching, and exploiting, the current Modern Warfare 2 Leaderboards are not legitimate. I'm sure Infinity Ward doesn't want to reset the Leaderboards in fear of upsetting the community, but it has to be done."

Fermi GTX 380 / GTX 360 benches are fake

Over the past couple of days several benchmarks pitting two Nvidia Fermi cards against ATI Evergreens have surfaced on the interweb. The results indicated a single Fermi-based Geforce GTX 380 should beat ATI's dual-GPU HD 5970, however, the slides don't appear to be kosher.

Batman: Arkham has "run its course"

Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 could not be set in Arkham at all, if comments made by the game's senior gameplay programmer, Paul Denning should be taken seriously.

Speaking in a retrospective on the original game in PC Zone magazine, Denning said the Gotham prison had probably "run its course" and other areas in the city would be "ideal" for gameplay.

"I think you're probably right in that it's almost run its course," he replied, when asked if there were other areas of Gotham developer Rocksteady would like to explore.

"We did pick a selection of buildings that we thought would fit the [original] game well," he added. "You could quite easily point out that there are various things that you wouldn't usually find in an asylum especially on an island that's supposedly self-contained.
