Could it be the best game ever made?
LittleBigPlanet is one of the only games alongside Call Of Duty: World At War, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, to be hyped to death, and actually live up to its hype, unlike Grand Theft Auto 4 (As many would say although I completely disagree).
In LittleBigPlanet, you play as Sackboy, an adorable little character, who lives up to his name! He is a small person, and he is made out of the same material that sacks are made of! As Sackboy, you must fight and think your way through a variety of different puzzles and dangerous obstacles as you fight towards the goal of rescuiung all of the LittleBigPlanet inhabitants.
The game is warmly introduced by a great narration by Stephen Fry, while you play through an introuduction to the whole Media Molecule team. Eventually, you end up next to a TV and a switch. Common sense makes you jump on to the switch of course. Then, a video comes up onto the screen, also narrated by the legendary Stephen Fry. This video explains that you can edit how your Sack Person looks. At the start, you will only have a couple of costume options, but as you progress through the game, you will earn hundreds of more costume items.
After the introduction, you will appear in your Pod, which is basically your menu, where you choose if you want to create your level, view online things, or play on the Story or someone else's level. However, you will not be able to create your own level yet. First you must complete some levels. This might put you off, but until you complete the game, all you will be doing is probably the story mode, as it is infuriatingly addictive, although sometimes frustrating.
Once you have unlocked the create mode, you will notice the same as you noticed when you were customising your Sack Person for the first time. There will be only a couple of items on your items page. This will also be because you will have to work your way through the story mode to unlock more items. Once you have enough items to make a fully functional level, you will be able to let your imagination loose! You can actually make absolutely anything! There are no exceptions. Even making a replica of your room will be possible with the right materials and a good time spent on editing the colours.
Once you have fully explored the game, you will maybe actually want to play somebody else's level. Trust me, most of the levels that people publish online are very good, with the exception of 2 or 3 authors.
After having done this, you will go onto another game perhaps. I did exactly the same. I went onto Call Of Duty: World At War and spent enough time on that without stopping to complete the story on Regular. As soon as i did the campaign, i had some fun on the Nazi Zombies game mode. But when i failed, i actually went onto LittleBigPlanet again! And i haven't been off it since.
An absolutely terrific game made by a relitavely unknown company. Thank you Media Molecule.

10 Graphics
Some of the best graphics in a game, but if you enlarge something too much, it looks all pixelated etc. However, in real life, looking at something from too close makes it look like this too. So it might actually be realistic in this aspect too.
10 Sound
Amazingly realistic sound effects.
10 Gameplay
Can't have 11, so has to be 10.
10 Fun Factor
10 Online
Amazing to play with friends

1 - Hype
I wouldn't say Force Unleashed, MGS4 or CoD:WaW lived up to its hype, but that might just be me. Nonetheless, LBP is a good game indeed. Annoying controls at points, and a couple of glitches, but tons of fun to be had.
