Agent 47's Recent Adventures are the Best Ones Yet.
Hitman Blood Money marks the fourth entry in Eidos Interactive's successful stealth assassins game. While certainly not as on the same level with its stealth game contemporaries Metal Gear and Splinter Cell, Blood Money is a superb game and the best Hitman game as of yet.Fans of the Series or anyone who has played earlier games will be familiar with the game play. While new players won’t have much difficulty mastering the game play either, any one new to the series will also not need to be familiar with the story either as the game hardly has anything related to the previous installments.

Players are once again placed as the bald headed agent 47 who is still working for the ICA, or simply The Agency, who is assigning 47 with hits to carry out. The story isn’t the centerpiece of the Game, it is mostly narrated by a guy in a wheelchair who explains 47's events from 2004-2005 while claiming to have killed him. As the player progresses through the game a little more of the story is revealed from time to time. Some of the hits and other characters of the game are related to 47's events while also to each other. By the end of the game, players will understand what is really going around and how the events came to unfold. The story isn’t all that developed and interesting so you will wind up more focused in the game.

Game play is basically the same from the previous installments, There are 13 levels called missions within each 47 has to hunt down targets any way he can. 47 is dropped off to the area where his targets are situated, unlike previous games the environments are more public oriented rather than security only areas. If fans of the series are a little rusty or if any one new is playing the first mission should make you familiar with the feel of the game, you will get the hang of the controls and the tone at which it is set. Although the first level is easy and straight forward, the ones later are more linear and time consuming while also tougher. Mainly there are ways set to kill your targets in the environment around you and if you figure out the real way of killing your enemies then you will most certainly master that level, but most of the time you will probably use some other way that suits you best which will probably have some consequences to pay, So this really increases the replay value as there are many ways to kill your target so will probably play a level a dozen times or so to perfect any way of finishing it. Players are ranked at the end of each level based on their performance in the level; they are based on the violence, noise and time taken, the highest rank being Silent Assassins. Stats are depicted at the end of the level which are then presented in a newspaper article to inform the player how the events after the level panned out. Obviously there Player wont be dropped off in a mission unarmed or uninformed about the mission, before the mission commences the player will be given a briefing by Diana about the targets and/or some other information which needs to be retrieved, three weapons can be selected and taken in the game, while the intel provides some hints to finish the mission easily.

There are new features in the game; these include the capability to climb through more obstacles, improved unarmed combat, the ability to use an NPC as a human shield, improved character animations (face, eyes, etc.), a new game engine and the ability to upgrade weapons and equipment[3]. However, only five of the featured weapons in the game, as well as assorted pieces of equipment such as bombs and armor, can be upgraded. As in the previous games, planning your strike is easy thanks to a GPS-style real-time map that's accessible at the touch of a button, which shows you all other characters in the vicinity at the normal difficulty setting, including your targets. Tougher settings show you fewer characters on the map, make enemies more lethal, and also limit your ability to save your progress during a mission. Other characters or enemies in the game are strangely developed as they react in humanely for instance if a player is to enter a room which he isn’t allowed to access the guards will just start shooting him without any warning, or if a person were to find the body of someone who you had killed they would run around for a while then continue their normal routine, guards will shoot you if they find you near any body without any questioning. Just because you have access to an arsenal of weapons doesn’t necessarily mean you have to blast your way through a mission, normally areas are crawling with police, enemies or guards so you will be eventually be outmatched. Being an assassins naturally means doing the job cleanly so you will be provided with boxes or other means to hide victims bodies after you have taken their clothes which will grant you access to other areas, value of costumes differ as normally a guard costume will make you able to get you to the target while your basic attire will get you a limited access.

Graphics are of pretty high quality although only in game, characters don’t look very good in cut scenes their skins seem to very thick and very shiny. Environments in game are very beautiful and you might take a while off in the game just to gawk at the scenery. This is probably one of the few games in which in game design and graphics outranks the movies and cut scenes, and this isn’t necessarily a very good thing. The game's soundtrack once again stands out and lives up to its reputation as one of the best soundtracks of games. The music fits nicely with the tone of the level for instance a level with a darker environment will get a creepy and slow music while a sunny and peaceful environment will get a naturistic Sound.

Hitman Blood Money retains all of the previous aspects of the series which makes the game very enjoyable, although some differently oriented levels would have made the game better and a little to differentiate it from the previous installments. The story also should have been more polished up rather than providing us with a few cut scenes and only an encore in the end. Although it lacks in some areas its very much fun and has excellent replay value which makes this a game to definitely check out.
