it was so awesome... it could've been so easy to keep the story great in R2 but i was left a bit dissapointed with it.. it went from a deep story to almost an average alien shooter.. the ending did leave me wanting more thou.

I hope insomniac will focus more on the story for part 3, being that i would rather have a great story and no multiplayer, than a half decent story and half decent multiplayer. i'm a huge resistance fan.. was my first game, but i was hoping for a beefier story on R2..

Don't let us down insomniac.. go back to Rfom principles.. even the art work was way awesome

Like I said, I wish the other resistances were in 3rd person. I'm only saying that because the look of this game and how it turned out so well.

Ok sony bend you have mastered the PSP...now challenge yourselves with the PS3. Sony bend psp games are all ace so i expected this one to be ace as well. The high scores don't really surprise me as these guys get better with each game they make.

I can't wait to see what they have in store for us for the PS3

Damn. That's one of the highest scores I've ever seen from them. Higher than they gave Resistance 2. One again, Edge's 6 out of 10 seems a bit ... off.

I agree, sort of.

Killzone has proven its self as the premier PS3 shooter. You don't need 2 FPS titles competing. Insomniac should take what Bend have done and add their normal flare to it, because the Resistance story isn't over but I think they need a new approach.

i also want to add that i bought R2 CE becuz i liked R1, and R1 was my 1st ps3 title. R2 was a huge letdown, SP was boring, but i kinda liked Ending, and MP was only fun for 2 weeks.

I disagree with everyone. It doesn't NEED to be third-person, because I enjoy Resistance just fine as an FPS. But, I would still buy it if it was third-person, because Insomniac are great at making third-person perspective action games (Ratchet & Clank), I like the Resistance mythology & characters, I love the Resistance atmosphere and style, and I absolutely adore the weapons of the Resistance universe. Also, while I love Killzone 2, I also love Resistance 2, and they provide two very different aspects of the action genre. There is certainly room for both games to coexist. Killzone 2 is gritty, methodical, tactical, human. Resistance is vibrant, over-the-top, arcadey, superhuman.

I agree.

I love R2. Just an awesome, awesome roller-coaster thrill ride; didn't bother me one bit that it was a linear game. It reminded me of something you'd experience at Universal/MGM Studios...nothing more than over-the-top, blatant fun.

Only gripes I had was the way-too-abrupt ending, and the absence of controllable vehicles/machines.

As for Retribution: I've already pre-ordered.

I think some people had the wrong idea about that game. It's was an action packed fun game.

But I also missed the vehicle section from R1 and hope they come back in R3...

Then I played RFom and understood why people were disappointed by #2. Not having the partial regen health bar or the vehicles. Plus the "boss battles" felt more like an interactive cut-scene than a battle.

I think R1 was a better game and R2 was too much of a "me too" FPS. I can only hope that Insomniac will be able to bring back the originality and freshness of RFom for R3.
