The story and concept all seem pretty good, as long as the gameplay and graphical performance prove solid, this should be one heck of an FPS. Though I've never been as much of a FPS person as I am RPG, I just might make an exception for this game.

I'm guessing they need the 360 kits for Timesplitters 4, or the unannounced LucasArts title.

At work we have a stack of the original xbox dev kits, but we are hardly using them any more. It could be leftover from the early stages of production on Haze.

I wonder if this game will be any good at all. it has been delayed to work with the PS3's specs therefore being canceled on the 360. Let's hope they pull this one off even though it will be hard to compete with Killzone 2.

It doesn't have to compete with or beat any other game. It jsut has to be a good game in it's self and it'll be fine.

Anyways, I'm not about to foolishly think that the developers responsible for incredible FPS games like Goldeneye and Timesplitters will all of a sudden make a FPS that won't be decent or just a mediocre experience.

HAZE will be incredible, the only thing is, should editorial reviewers low ball it with 7s & 8s, will gamers still support it or sheepishly follow editorial reviews yet again.

Average - Everytime i see this game i hope to see something that will remove that thought, But average is all that comes to mind. I`m just not sure about this one. It doesn`t grab me as being an immersive Fps, just a gimmicky bog standard shooter.

Hopefully new media is released that maybe shows the first 10 minutes!? Maybe it can redeem itself somehow.

Definitely on the fence for this one at the moment.

Graphics aside to be honest won`t make this game better if it has slow and boring gameplay. Graphics aren`t important for me, yes they help in creating a good atmosphere but if the game is pants it could glitter like golden breast`s but still be boring to play with......... actually i take that back ;).

What makes you say the graphics are not top notch ? I think they are pretty good. Lush environments, I see no slow down, good particle effects and nice detail level. The guns are smoking after you fire the weapon. But, well, the resolution is not high enough and playing is believing I guess. But from what I see, it doesn't make a bad impression to me. Actually, the more I see, the more it moves up on my list. Probably above UT3, now. The gameplay looks intense, too. These ship and mine levels look pretty good, IMO. That cargo bay is fantastic.

11 - Still don`t know about this one

Haze seems to have many interesting ideas, but i`m not sure if they`re executed well enough.

The graphics seems pretty good in the jungle, but very bland in the more industrial areas. The framerate was a bit unstable too, but i`m sure Free Radical will tight that up before it`s release. I didn`t get a Wow feeling from the gameplay either, but given FR`s history i feel i should give them the benefit of the doubt somehow, even though the could be said of the Lair, before the game was out.

So, i think i have to try before i buy (Haze), but it could turn out great, and i`m glad they`ve added more time for polishing up the game. 4 player co-op sounds cool, and can`t wait to see that in action.

They finaly released some info on the game besides those dumb nectar interviews. Graphics look decent, Gameplay uhhh questionable, probably woudve bought it looking at the video, but now its not if its good or not its will you purchase it over or with side a game like killzone. I believe they lost a lot of sales delaying this in the realm of killzone. They probably banking on killzone delays, but seeing how Sony is making it, which has the best experience with their tech it probably will at most be like a month late.

Wow, this is looking brilliant. the geeza with the mic is at times a bit annoying but great video. i hope it comes to otehr formats too, FPS with 360 controller is much more enjoyable. i hope there is a good multiplayer element on PS3.

23 - after seeing what haze looks like on the PS TV spots on my HD tv i can already know that at it's release

i'll be well immeresed in some pretty above average graphics, this video interview only helped to solidify my reasons to have this game pre order.

it looked even more stable than the last build and runs alot more smoothly. the hot swap online coop is cool and the fact that haze will be streaming the entire game so there will be no load times. and after playing uncharted i cant really see my self thoroughly enjoying a game that doesn't support no loading consistent streaming.

which is a nother reason why i think the game was canceled for 360, their streaming teck was built to take full advantage of the HDD in every PS3 thus enabling them to create and cache data to the HDD much the same way uncharted Does to allow a consistent uninterrupted story mod perfect for delivering an engrossing and well thought out naritive. so the fact that not all 360 have the HDD it would have made that job impossible. load times would be at a minimum but it would still have a load time which would be taking away from the seamless experience.

i cant wait just make sure that You hit us up with a demo on the PSN in end of December so it would give us some time to get a great feel for the game when it comes early january...

after that. you will be in prime position to sell well enough because january and feb are like dead months for gaming.

...and even if would come out at the same time, I'd probably go with both. Resistance(2?), Haze, KZ2. That will be my shooter library. And if none of those will have bots, I'll add UT3 - but then, I started Warhawk again, which will rank up again with additional content.

Devs can account for the 360's which don't have hard drives, Sony just gave Ubisoft alot of money to make it exclusive for the PS3. Nothing to do with streaming via the HDD.

I also don't think they have cancelled the 360 and PC version, all that work just being gone? All that money spent, nah, it probaly will come to 360 and PC but maybe end of 2008 or even in 2009. This game could be another reason to own a PS3, it could not.

26 - The graphics really don't matter

Did anyone ever look at timesplitters and think "WOW!!"? No, it was something that you grew to love through playing. I expect this will be similar. It seems to be quite HALO-esque in the fact that it appears to be very solidly made with a great multiplayer. However it seems to be a bit more grounded in reality, with a dystopian future instead of sci-fi fantasy. Plus the story may well be deeper than it appears, relating strongly to modern day ethics of war and morality issues.

So it seems to have a great multiplayer with mission-based games, a great singleplayer story, and instant online 4 player co-op to boot. Add in the fact that they are claiming that there are no loading screens in single player and it sounds like it could be a top quality title.

I'd like to try Haze first, to be honest. But UT3 is out earlier. What really makes Haze interesting is its 4 player cooperative mission mode (online ?).

I'd like to know more about that, but I would guess, this would mean you'll never play the "single" player twice - if everybody can join you online, and your team actually will change every time you play. That's kind a awesome.

I would, however, like to know, if Haze will feature bots in its multi player mode. If not, the only one so far is Graw2, AFAIK - and UT3.
