Sony To Sell Exclusive PS3+PES 2008 Bundle!

A huge thanks to ThomasGOAL for this news. Today in an interview with Georges Fornay, Chairman of PlayStation France, it was confirmed Sony plan to launch a PES 2008 PS3 bundle in November. Confirmed as an exclusive bundle for Sony, right now no one is too sure if its an offer that will stay in France.

In europe PS2 + PES is found in any country as regular bundle,
and this PS3+PES2008 is a killer bundle for sure and will not be limited to France or other specific country.

Critics for PS3 stores not having PES demo yet.

PES stands for Pro Evolution Soccer. And it's the best soccer series (unfortunately not the most famous one)..

Man my boy over in Norway is gonna get this one for sure. He's buying PS3 mainly for this game anyway and yeah it's not an exclusive but the controls on X360 is just weird for him and ruins his fun factor.

the xbox hasnt done anything. The xbox might as well not exist. The only reason the PS3 isnt selling is because of price, but mostly because of games. It has nothing to do with the xbox "taking" sony's sales

Your just MSFT's tool. In two years the PS2 sold 30 million(like ive said before) With 11 million consoles shipped (not sold btw) That means MSFT is averaging about, lets say, 5 million consoles a year (thats really generous.) Just to add, there are MORE people who play video games today than there was in 2002.

So, what your saying is that XBOX's 5million a year SHIPPED average is whats taking away from sony selling consoles. DAMINT I KNEW IT!!! Someone give me Kaz Hirai's email, ive figured it out. Its not the fact that no known titles have been released on the PS3, or the fact that the PS3 hasnt had a real holiday season to get a boom in sales yet, its damn MSFT shipping these units. Somehow those 5 million units has put up some freaking mythical magical anti-Sony barrier and its the sole reason why the PS3 isnt selling....right? LOL sorry i got a little carried away.

My point is, nobody is adopting to this new HD generation yet. The XBox is "chugging along" right back up your Xbot asses. While MSFT anally molest all of you, it tells you "were going great, you love the xbox, forget the failure rate, forget you pay for online, forget we charged you $300 for ONLY upgraded graphics. Also, forget that we have sold less consoles than the Gamecube, even after 2 years, the first year being without competition. Were doing better than the gameless PS3 (for now) and thats all that matters. Plus baby, we GOT HALO 3! ;-D" LOL im getting banned for this arent i...

If, at any point in its 2 and a half year existence the xbox was going to blow up, do you really think it would happen right now?

By the time christmas comes around, the Halo hype will have died down. Halo 3 IS the best card that MSFT has. Do you think another game will move as many consoles as Halo can? All the other ones are not exclusives.

Yet, there are 150million or so console gamers in the world. Sony, which doesnt have any games yet, will end there first year beating the yearly average the xbox had even after almost 3 years.

Add onto that all the actual KNOWN AAA titles that will be coming the the PS3 and will move consoles, and what you have is one very popular console with all its potential remaining, and one console with all its potential tapped, and 130million undecided gamers left. It it was going to happen with the Xbox, it would have happened by now.

Now the xbox is doing BETTER than a nearly dead PS3, but as soon as games come and the price drops, the PS3 is going to fly past the Xbox. The xbox is done, like I said. Halo 3 was its last boom. It may have very good games, but from here on out those games are going to be on the PS3 as well, and if they're not, there will be an alternative of some sort.

The 360 will be out 2 years this November and it's sales numbers are on the rise(minus Japan) while the PS3 and Wii are falling. How much does a console need to sell in order for it to "blow up"? =)

i don't think people like soccer in the states, americans don't understand soccer at all, they complain about the low scoring games and lack of excitement...no wonder they say that the Super Bowl is bigger the the World Cup...sigh...I love this game...and I'll try to get the EU version since I don't know when is going to be released in the Americas.

Very good news!

Most of you (at least non-Europeans) don't really understand how important this is.

PES is absolutely HUGE in Europe and it has always been associated with the Playstation brand.

So this bundle is a huge deal.

Awesome move by Sony, this will surely move quite some PS3's this year (in Europe) ;)

18 - PES is the beautiful game

No doubt about it, since PES first come out, year in, year out, it has ripped apart EA's FIFA 'Football'...hmm since when in football could you score from the half way line 8 out of 10 times. The only good Fifa since PES began production was 2003...then 2004 and it hit rock bottom. From then on small improvements have been made each year and now we are here in 2008. Fifa 08 = 7/10 PES = 9/10...need I say more? Fifa has good concepts about the game...just executed badly. The Be A Pro mode is an amazing idea...however its happened before. I don't know if anyone remembers this game but it was called Libero Grande 2.It may have been in number 1...I'm not sure as I didnt play it. But in 2, you took one player and was able to command team mates. How long ago was that released? Hmm maybe late 90's? Surely someone would've resurrected the idea by now? EA took it on...wrong game...Konami should've taken it. It would've got Konami an instant 10/10. Cant wait til October 26th !!
