I'm not impressed with the game itself. It could have been so much more, but we'll never see it reach it's potential. I am, however, interested in FFvXIII.

No doubt an american wrote this, cause everyone in EU/PAL(Nippon aswell?) want the cover this way and no other way, don't go changing something that doesn't need to be changed.

I'm glad that the JP version has this cover as it pretty much solidifies that the PAL/EU version will have the same cover.

it could have been better. it almost seems half asses or something you would see at gameslut err....gamestop if you were to be looking at the pre order shelf.

im actually surprised by the amount of people who really like this somewhat blank & bland look. looking back at previous FF covers make it really seem disappointing to me. at least have a picture of lightning or a backdrop of the world as the background. C'mon SE, you make a fantastic looking game with a rich environment and a cast of colorful characters and you cant even splash a little color on the cover...come on. if this was the special edition then i wouldn't care but this is going to be on the shelves anywhere and everywhere games are sold....Come On!

You'r joking right (It's more or less tradition and expected)? Oh well, to each his own. Every FF uses this cover design unless your American, please tell me we didn't have this discussion with FF12.

Personally I have always like the way the covers are done, simple and stylish and I have no trouble picking them out when they are on the store shelves or in my own video game collection for that reason.

from what i remember this has always been the style for the title art, but the actual game cases vary and usu contain the protagonist(s) of the story

Only in the US has the boxart had pictures of the protagonist. In Europe and Japan it has always been a plain white box with the logo like this.

People like pretty things but would you really not buy it because of the box art? I know it's all part of marketing to the consumer but they could put it in a brown paper bag and I'd still buy it.

Normally I'd be jumping in and bashing the PS3 about now. But "I've seen the light", "I've been redeemed", "I've been converted."
Last night I bought myself a PS3 slim and got rid of the lamebox. Yes you heard it here first PS3 fans.I know that you guys have known that I am always looking for a chance to bash the PS3 but not anymore.I got tired of waiting for AAA games and then when the wait was over all I got was a tired Halo engine(ODST), and a renamed Forza2 game. The only other games that were of any value were Batman and World at War, both of which could be played on PS3.I was also missing out on UC2, KZ2, and the upcoming GOW3.The lamebox just can't seem to keep up anymore.Now that developers have learned to harness the SPU's and make better use of the PS3 architecture the lamebox is in trouble. I was also tired of paying 49.99/yr for online. When netflix said that they're coming Playstation it made me ill. Here the ps3 guys could play and watch for free (minus the 9.00/mnt that both Live and PSN people would have to pay for the Netflix service)but I had to pay extra for Live. LAME. Hence the term "LAMEBOX". So there you have it. I've grown up and graduated to PS3. Now I wish I'd done it sooner. Talltony and Saaking finally won me over LOL. Hats off guys. I'll be playing a real game machine now.
