Rockstar: Toys R Us' PS3 GTA IV Episodes Is A Mistake

Do you even want this? It's going to be a 2 year old game that was overhyped and didn't live up to expectations. Now, R* are trying to add the things that made the past GTA's so great in DLC.

Besides, I'm kind of tired of playing GTA. It's cool that R* are making Agent, which seems to look like a cool concept. Hopefully we get screenshots or info for that matter soon.

Gay Tony looks pretty good to me(does reading that sound weird or is it just me?), The Lost and Damned wasn't so much. I played a bit of it, and it was just more of the same. I think that it'll eventually come to the PS3, but MS has timed exclusivity of course

timed exclusive for 50 mil makes no sense tho...

i gotta say while the sp sucked the onlines a blast and if they put this dlc on psn id prob get it just for that. New vehicles modes and weapans are always good. The only sad thing is that the game was such a flop the onlines pretty sparse.

No one knows the details behind the 50 million deal. There is circumstantial evidence that the 50 million deal may have actually been a cash advance to Rockstar and MS expects it to be paid back. If that is the case then that changes the whole dynamics of the deal and opens up the possibility it will come to the PC/PS3.

I don't think we will have much longer to wait, once the "hype" dies down for TBoGT we can expect an announcement at the beginning of 2010 at least for TLaD with TBoGT to follow about this time next year.

I think the bulk of that $50 mill was to make sure GTA 4 came out day and date with the Ps3 version. The DLC was probably just a bonus offer to sweeten the deal for MS. Just like the 360 got Star Ocean 4 and Last Remnant (probably won't come out at all since it bombed) first. It was probably a package deal to get FF 13 day and date with the Ps3. Kind of like a buy one exclusive away from Sony and get two lesser timed exclusives free.

Hmm...Accidently making a PS3 boxart and then accidently publishing it to their site seems like one hell of a mistake.

Not saying R* are lying (i wouldn't even care, to be honest), but someone at TRU is an idiot if they didn't spot the mistake.

Seriously, I'd like to know.

I have a PS3 and I liked GTA 4 alot...I REALLY like the online, and I still play it to this day (got it in January with my PS3).

I'd like to know why some of you didn't like GTA 4....

@1.9 I actually liked it. It wouldn't be the end of the world if the expansions didn't come to the PS3, but I was upset, because Bethesda put out Broken Steel for FO3, which gave some cool extras, and changed the ending, and that upset me. I like RockStar, and I like Bethesda, but I could move on to other things like Agent.

There is no difference. Except one is a physical promotional box, and the other is digital. In fact, I'd go as far to say that this is worse, due to the fact that it was actually printed out.

You're trying to see the forest from the trees, then. It's like the Mass Effect on PS3 rumors that keep coming up: these are continuous errors that just add up that make us wonder when you put them together. If this was an isolated incident, or something that didn't have the sore-thumb stand out thing that this one did with no one noticing, or just nonsense that someone made up like all those MGS4 to 360 rumors that kept being manufactured, then maybe we could see this as just an error. But it keeps happening.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing them release it on the PS3 for completion's sake. This was the only real thing that Rockstar gave to Microsoft this gen so far, and if they gave it to the PS3 after some time, it would mean that Rockstar is all about the PS3 from here on out.

Do you see a trend? EA, RockStar, and Konami are third-party companies. EA is a fan of multi-platform games, and so are Rockstar. However, Kojima likes to work with Sony, but has given a MGS game on the Xbox, but the MGS is more of a PlayStation kind of game. I know that Kojima has put them on other platforms, but it seems like he is more of a PlayStation kind of guy. Is there a chance we will see either ME, or the two GTA IV expansions on the PS3? Yes. Do we know how big of a chance that is? Not at the moment. More 360 games have been rumored to appear on the PS3, than PS3 games have been rumored to appear on the 360.

GTAIV didnt live up to exectations... are you kidding me??? It exceeded everyones expectation, look at the meta score. 98!! sold 8mil copies.. Its an awesome game. I dont know how people can say its over rated when almost every reviewer out there gave it perfect scores?

Anyway, I bet the PS3 version is announced in Jan. Im gonna hold off on the 360 version of this pack for now.

Hey, Chris I was thinking of picking up Uncharted 2, and I wanted to ask you how you know it sucks? Wait, is there a possibility that it's on the 360? Oh, right it's not, and that's all you have. Oh, well I guess asking a single-console owner their opinion of a first-party game that's not on their console, and they have more credibility than someone who actually who owns said console on which the exclusive is on.
