The Tales of Vesperia dilemma

Tales of Vesperia is known as one of the worst slaps in the face to many gamers that bought it believing it was a 360 exclusive, only to see it announced for PS3 a few months later. But that's not even the main problem related to the game. At the moment many owners of both a Xbox 360 and a PS3 still don't know what to do with their money.

"Unfortunately Namco Bandai, just as much as Sega, has always been quite poor in giving information about localization of games that aren't their major IPs like Tekken or Soul Calibur"

So true. There's like 2 Great Tales Titles on DS that I'd like to play in English and NamcoXbandai are not willing to get them games released here.

Even I would buy the ToV Ps3 version to experience the Full version of the game with the new Character and added Cut-scenes and story bits.

nothing will beat the slap that SE did to PS3 fanboys. FF13 going multiplat really caught everyone by surprise, not to mention the 360 will be release simultaneously with the PS3 version in NA and EU. Many believed including myself that SE intentionally delayed the PS3 version for that reason.

Seriously, it isn't even the same topic. ou didn't buy final fantasy XIII yet. It's not a matter of being fan of this or that brand. It's a matter of actually buying a game, thinking it's an exclusive, and maybe buying a console with it (because many gamers, expecially in Japan, couldn't care the less about the 360 if not for Vesperia and very few other titles), and then finding out that not only the game will be ported (which isn't even THAT bad in itself), but improved as well.

So you find yourself shafted not in your fanboy pride, which i couldn't care the less about, but in your wallet.

They announced FFXIII going multiplatform one year and an half before it's release. It's their property, they can do whatever they like with it, and as soon as they communicate their decision well before i spend money on the game, it's their problem. You're entirely free not to buy the game if you don't like their decisions, after all.

In any case, maybe you should read an article before commenting. It's not mainly about Vesperia being ported to the PS3, but about the fact that they still didn't tell us if they're actually localizing the PS3 version or not, so we have no idea if we should just wait or get the (now inferior) 360 version.

But at the end of the day, PS3 and 360 owners will have had the same experience. So what if rocks look better on the PS3 when you take a screen capture and zoom into it on your computer. And so what if one character has an extra strand of hair on the 360 version - the experience of the actual game will be the same.
