Agreed with all three, folklore was just made for trophy's, but I doubt it'll happen, not that I'm too sure what game republic are doing atm.
Surely trophies can't be that hard to patch, and imo you'll get a good amount of sales just from trophy whore, let alone people that are just holding out.
Trophy patch is nothing else show that the devs are will to keep support the game, not just forget about it once they have your money.

Trophies are not needed, a game isn't any worse without trophies. I've said this again, but I've rather see a Multiplayer patch before a trophy patch.

1.9 - MGS4 already has multiplayer.
They might as well add trophy support.

I've been wondering. PS2 had games like Timesplitters and 007 that offer 4 player splitscreen support.

PS1 had games like Crash Team Racing that offered 4 player splitscreen support.

Why is it that barely any next gen games can do the same?

I'm rarely impressed by trophies myself and take your point BUT while you may not care I think it's a great thing if it brings more gamers to play the likes of VC, no?

It may help them with their adolescent ADHD too!

Having said I don't care for trophies I do think they would be a good thing in MGS4 as the game really lends itself to copletism-the BB emblem(not that I can be arsed!) is a real gaming achievement and the more people playing the game the better-in fact MGS4 and VC should be compulsory games on PS3 and Sony sould come and take systems off people who don't have either.

If trophies are a major contributing factor when deciding whether or not to buy a game, there is something seriously wrong with you. Like I said, simple minds or adhd adolescents. Gamers buy the games for....wait for it....the games, and that applies to both casual and hardcore.

I get what you are saying though. As far as I'm conserned trophies give replayability to games like crazy. They also get you to do things you might not otherwise do. I love trophies!

Still I've completetd VC twice and have bought all the DLC for it. The game is like no other even without trophies. I would love to try to get S-ratings on every level for a golden trophy though....

For referance I never would've completed Dead Space about 5 times alltogether without the trophies even if the game is the best. Time well spent is what comes to mind when you hear that BLING!-sound for that platinum-trophy.

i actually just started this game a few days ago, but now that there is chance for trophy support i might have to put this game on hold. great game btw. i usually steer away from games like this, but i've read so many positive feedback on this site that i had to give it a try.

I really struggeled finding this game in the UK. I eventually had to order online. HMV were saying that it had actually been deleted over here!?

I have NEVER seen it in any highstreet stores.

I finally got it in January but I've hardly touched it. I really do want to play it, I was awe-inspired from the first trailer I saw, the game is really beautiful but sadly I've been bitten by the trophy bug. Other games that do have trophy support have taken me away from VC and with the constant release of new games (with trophies) VC has kinda taken a backshelf position.

I hear that the game is awesome and one of the best (if not THE best) RPG on the system. I would REALLY like a trophy patch to get me into the game. MGS4 is the only other game I feel NEEDS trophies but I definitely got my moneys worth from that one having completed it 5 times.

Man I hate trophies but I also love em! =/

Dude! I had no problem finding a copy at release but searched for weeks to find one for a mate and oddly you can pick it up at decent sized Tescos for £12! I've now bought three from the local one for people-you just have to root around in the sale games-odd but I guess not m,any would have thought they would have stocked it in the first place as you rarely find games outside of the top ten in there!

So many other games need trophies. For me my list is MGS4, Lair, Heaven Sword, Folklore and there are many more PS3 owners would love to see.

This is a thing MS did good with:- Implementing this schematic from the start so all early games have this. Though I understand Sony had to take their time with it to make sure it's a fail safe as possible with utmost measure to prevent cheating, I do wish they get their features out in a much better timely manner.

Gosh, Lair trophies would be sooooo sweet for me. The game was built for the trophies system.

Why not encourage people to go to Sega's forums and write in that they want it but instead he says buy the DLC. Seems like an underhanded way to get people to buy the DLC and they still won't implement trophies while they sneaker "SUCKAS! hehehe"

What an utterly ridiculous and pompous comment.

Regardless of whether or not you think trophies are needed in the game there are a percentage (a majority) who enjoy the replay value they bring to a game. One of the major statements that you hear about VC is that it is criminal how few people own it and this may expose teh game to a larger audience, which in turn then gives a greater chance of future VC titles appearing on the PS3.

Who would want to play a game for the great game play mechanics and story when you could play for "stickers" that tell you that you are great for getting 10 head shots!

They are gimmicky and cheapen games and the gaming experience. Imagine if movies gave out stickers for every 10 minutes of the movie you watched and some people would only go see movies if they were the kind of movie that gave out stickers....is it really about the movie at that point? or the gimmick. Play the game because it is a great game with a great story and great game play mechanics - not because someone is going to stroke your e-pen the entire time you are playing.
