SOCOM: Confrontation Patch 1.50 Live

"The 1.50 Patch for SOCOM: Confrontation is now live, coming in at 578 MB.

The EU producer for the game had the following to add:
The team are also deploying a server update to sync with the patch, so you may not be able to connect for a little while once the patch is downloaded. It shouldn't take too long though before the servers are back online…"

I bought my Ps3 a few days ago (I couldn't wait for the slim), and afterwords went to Target and saw the Socom box marked down to $42. I wanted a headset anyway and it was $40, so you could say I got the game for free!

Yeah, I know you can use almost any bluetooth headset, but I like having the official stuff made for whatever I buy.

This game is garbage compared to Socom I/II.

Still problems with the reload you throw every grenade with the right hand, wall/rail shooting issues, grenades/claymores not working.

Vehicles explode when you hit the windshield ect.

Yeah I much prefer running down an alley in Sujo and hearing a rifle shot only to realize I was killed 10 feet back. Apparently you haven't played SOCOM Confrontaion either since launch or at all. The game is tight.

SOCOM II was fun but it was a damn lagfest and everyone knows it. Several bad issues were never fixed. They never did patch that massive deck glitch in Enowapi that let one guy wipe out the SEALs.

I'm with Morganfell on this. I love this game. I picked it up in Feb 2009 so didn't have any problems. Best team shooter i've played this gen. If it was released out the box like this the it would get 9s across the board.

The menus and how you navigate still need a lot of improvement and S6 could learn from other games, however for pure game play it's untouchable.

I checked the patch out and the glitches seem to have been fixed, along with a lot of small improvements... still no new weapons :-(

1.6 will have...
Two new primary weapons will be immediately accessible to players who select to play as the new Special Forces; the 417 assault rifle for the Dutch KCT and the SPAS 15 shotgun for the Italian COMSUBIN Special Forces.

Four new weapons will be available to all players regardless of assigned Special Force. These are the 9mm Sub Machine Gun, M82A1A, Ak-74 and SR-25. The 1.60 will also include a number of weapon updates and adjustments to existing weapons

They said the patches were being worked on side by side so we should see it soon

Im not that crazy about it but people are just to damn good on socom I play killzone 2 online way more than socom but this patch might make me get back into it.

There still has been NO new content to this ONLINE ONLY shooter for almost a year (i know they are "weeks" away from the first pack...but in terms of socom, "weeks" could mean "months"). These patches have been put in place ONLY to make the game PLAYABLE which is what it should have been when it released ALMOST A YEAR AGO. Lastly, the socom community still sucks, as veteran players will boot noobs without hesitation just due to their rank. Official rookie servers would've solved this problem but I guess that would've been too much work for /6 (after all...they have been working hard on patch 1.50 /sarcasm).

Home is out of beta & now socom is out of beta.
Now the people who wanted to shoot people in home got a new game to visit.

That's all I'm going to be doing for a month.

Holy Jeezz, I never played this game for about 6 months or so and as soon as I seen there was a new patch I was thinking hey I will play it again it seen whats changed WOW!! this game has IMPROVED 2 folds! Wayyyy better then it used to be. Socom:Confrontation launch Release:August 25 2009.
