Actually, I like that they bring us up to speed on how we can save our money by going to certain retailers that choose to do this sale. Not only do we save our money, but they also are able to persuade us to buy a game we were on the fence on and to try out.

SOCOM is one of the best online shooter I've played this gen... It's up there with COD4 and Killzone 2 for online gameplay. It is totally a different game than when it first came out. The problems are fixed and the only missing thing is the tournaments set-up.

PLUS the regular price for the official PS3 bluetooth is $49.99 and this deal is $41.98 with SOCOM. You must be crazy not to pick that up if you still yet to have the official mic...

ive always been a socom fan since socom 1 and i think they did a really bad job with confrontation. i waited over a year for slant six to clean up the game and make it presentable, when it finally came out i was more than disappointed. ill wait for MAG or the next socom since it will be made by the og socom devs...zipper.

i sold my copy of confrontation about a month after i bought it and wouldnt pick it up again even at this discounted price.

cod and killzone are levels above confrontation imo.

You are really REALLY doing yourself a disservice then. Gave up on it after a month? Then you definitely missed it all. Granted the game had its issues when it first came out. As of now though, it's all cleared up and works fine. I was disappointed there was no campaign in the game, but that's it. The game now is great. Really fun online game (probably my favorite online shooter--MAG might end up taking that though). If you truly are a SOCOM fan and enjoyed the online play of it, then you owe it to yourself to get the game and try it now that it's been fixed.

lol Exactly. That's the place I go to all the time for sales and deals. I get news here, then jump over there to see what kind of new deals I can get on games I want. Gamers need to bookmark that place or something if this is a serious hobby to them (which I'm assuming it is if they're here). Can save so much money with the heads up you get over there. I would figure everybody would know about it, but then you get comments like "it's nice having a place that lets us know about sales/deals" ever so often.

Well it's not going to compare to the SOCOM of ps2 days simply because there's no campaign, if that's what you mean. Other than that, I feel the online is right up there with any of the past SOCOM online games. Maybe even better in some aspects.
