Haze still a PS3 exclusive despite delay

Confusion over Haze's exclusivity to the PlayStation 3 arose today following an announcement by Ubisoft that the game had been delayed and would not make its first quarter 2008 release.

Haze has been heavily rumoured to be heading to Xbox 360 in addition to PlayStation 3, and the lack of platform clarification in its latest press release caused the rumour mill to churn once again.

Speaking to VideoGamer.com today a Ubisoft rep has denied the game will be heading to any other platform, reaffirming that Haze remains a PlayStation 3 exclusive - when it will actually hit stores is still to be announced.

they realized they HAVE to step it up a notch, to compete w/ RFOM2 and KZ2.

no matter what anyone says this delay is a good thing.

this game WILL be BETTER because of it.
it will LOOK and PLAY better.

and there`s LOTS to play in the next coming month on ps3.

the longer this title gets worked on, on ps3.

the LESS chance it has of going to 360, eventually.

I'm not sure whether a delay is a good thing TBH, doesn't exactly give you confidence in the management of the project...

But a delay that results in a good game is better than the early release of a bad game, that's for sure. And this is Free Radical after all, who have shown that they are capable of creating something special.

Haze was never a graphical beauty. But It's been so long since we last saw any videos of it. I'm sure it is looking so much better now.
A summer release would be the smart move (If they can make it). Last summer was so dry on both platforms.

Couldn't agree more. The funny/sad part is that ubisoft is supposed to be good at creating games, but I just don't understand why they suck. I mean other developers seems to handle the Ps3 hardware pretty good.

Ubisoft's reputation still won't be saved by this title. They're only publishing it, they have nothing to do with the actual development of the game for say. Free Radical is going to create this game, and if it's acclaimed well by the fans then all the credit to them and not Ubisoft. Ubisoft still sucks at Playstation 3 development.

Whi;e I'm a PS3 owner, this game is not impressive, take a step back and look at it. Another average shooter to grace the console. Just get Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 on your PS3 instead.

Still not sure about this game once a demo comes out then I'll decide but if it's a PS3 exclusive it's gonna be awesome.
MS doesn't even have a line up from what I've seen there just trying to buy people out now to stop the PS3 from growing to 1st place.
This isn't going to help MS very much and some of their exclusives are coming to the PS3 as well.

Bioshock
Mass Effect
Right there that eats up MS and you can also download a Yellow Dog Linux on your PS3 that allows you play both Halo 3 and Crysis.

Waited for this game for ages, thought it would be a nice thing for christmas last year then they delayed it to jan and thought well its not too bad, but then delayed it again to april 07 -march 08 .......... this game lost my purchase. if it comes out in april im not gonna get it cos hopefully GTA4 will be out in april and i dont want to waste money on a game i wont play that much compared to GTA4 :P

Who cares any more? I'm a PS3 exclusive owner and couldn't care less for this flamming pile of $hit. Seriously, Ubisoft and Free Radical really let me down with this game. Unless I'm seeing Halo-quality scores, I'm not buying this anymore. It can be a good game, and I still won't buy it inspite of these bastards. They've done a terrible job handling this game and its hype.

Doesn't it kinda seem like Lair all over again though?

A delay just means they get to polish it nice and shiny.

FR broke with EA because they didn't like how they handled TS3. So if FR thinks Ubisoft will do a better job publishing their game I trust them.
