For god's sake, this game is already demanding enough as it is...lol enough with the super-duper awesome fancy shmancy mega ultra high-res uber sweet sick awesome texture forest character model skin upgrades.

o joy more glorified jungle videos.

Crysis needs to just die already. PC shooters are second to no one. But Crysis...it's a playable tech demo, and a really nifty benchmark. That's it.

I bought it, beat it, was decent. I now only use it when I'm stress testing my overclocks or when I'm checking my load temps.

Consoles this gen will never run these graphics.

Nope, CryEngine 3 is CryEngine 2 on Meduim Settings, even my 1000 EUR PC can run better then that.

traced graphics from crysis, that are incredibly overrated, cryengine 3 is cryengine 2 on medium, on purpose couresy of crytek ofcourse, but your right "consoles" wont run crysis

They are. Crysis doesn't have a lot of "fake" things. It's one of the reasons why the game is so demanding.

It doesn't work that way.

Cryengine 3 is for PS3/360/PC.

What that means is, they'll push the consoles as far as they can, but they'll be pushing PC'S alot harder with better textures,foilage,etc, and i'm thinking the code will be better.

I'd like to see a comparison full up of the two.

i know what you mean, i only game on my pc...which is a beast...but not a crysis conquering beast, i swear there's alot of optimisation to go though...cry engine 3 will have increased draw distances, higher res textures etc, they'll scale all that down for the console, and besides...what are config files for?
