SWTOR: Social Gear by Social Rank and Location

One of the most popular parts of an MMO is the gear you can get for your character. It just goes with the genre and nearly every MMORPG has gear and gear sets that your character can earn, buy or loot in some manner in the game. SWTOR is no exception and there are several types of gear in the game and different ways to get it.

Too bad you have to spam running Esseles/BT to get your social points high enough to do anything.

from what i'm hearing, this game turned out to require more grinding than world of warcraft does right now.

Well its just how you look at it. You get Social points by grouping with friends and doing the conversations. So if you start the game doing that, you should already have quite a bit by end game. But it is an MMO and there will be grinding, but not like WoW. Leveling is a blast with how the story is told. Im loving every second of it.

To level up and play through the story of the game doesn't require much grinding at all. But to get the best gear, the best social gear, or the best PvP gear then yeah you gotta grind a bit. In the case of social gear you gotta grind a LOT.

I loved this game and have played since launch but don't let this article fool you, this game is a step above life support. While they are still technically updating the game, the updates are few and far between and there is a significant lack of quality control, so many little bugs that have been present for years.

The updates felt flimsy to me also. Stopped playing in 2021.

This game got a huge update last year didn't it with more content?

PapaBop386d ago

They promoted it as an expansion yet offered like 3-4 hours of content. The game is amazing and easily one of the best Star Wars games ever made but content drops are so few and far between.
