"Microforum Ltd., a worldwide publisher and software developer, today announced that its arcade shoot'em up, Kyotokei, will be available on Nintendo's WiiWare™ service in North America on 11th August." -- Wiiloveit.com (Official Press Release)
Kyotokei is an old school shooter cut from the same cloth as childhood favorites like Contra. Although finally beating the levels gives you a sense of great accomplishments, dying in the first 10 seconds of the next level and being sent all the way back to the beginning tends to diminish that feeling quite quickly. Kyotokei is a great game for gamers who are looking for a game that is truly retro, in both look and style.

If you enjoyed Ikaruga (how could you not) and its unique polarity mechanic, you may just want to check out what Microforum has in store.
