Nobuo Uematsu tribute concert: Remaining tickets and autograph session

With soundtracks for games such as Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Last Story is one of the most famous composer Nobuo Uematsu of the industry. Fans have reason to rejoice, because during the concert Symphonic Odyssey's on 9 July 2011 in the Cologne Philharmonic (Germany) the WDR Radio Orchestra plays favorite works of the master.

Actually, the concert was sold out in the evening after 12 hours. Due to strong demand they managed to plan an additional concert on the same day by 15 clock for which you can now get remaining tickets.

With so much love for his work, Ueamatsu could not resist to show up at the event: on 14:00 pm and 19:00 pm Uematsu will hold a autograph session.

If you have no time to travel to Cologne - fear not! Thanks to the WDR broadcasting, there will be an online live stream to enjoy the music video game.

One of the most memorable fights I ever played. I almost didn't want to pull the trigger at the end.

Final Fantasy XI Online November Update Goes Live

The latest update for Final Fantasy XI Online, the 'November Update', is now live across all platforms where the game is playable.

Kurisu158d ago

Can't believe this game is still getting updates 21 years after it launched. That's crazy! XI remains the only main numbered FF that I haven't played.

MrNinosan158d ago

At the time, it was an amazing game if you had a good Linkshell and/or friend to play with.
A MMOROG that actually required teamplay to be played.

Spenok158d ago

Easily one of the best games ever. As you said, it had the caveat of NEEDING a good group to play with, but I've never had memories/experiences like that in ANY game since.

I've been chasing that experience since I stopped playing it, and the closest I've come to is FFXIV. And even that is still vastly different.

Seraphim158d ago

Played the shit of this 20 years ago. Getting the Serket ring was epic. Idk how many mornings we spent camping before we finally got the pull and I won the roll upon defeat. It was great solo, but you really need a good link/squad for some of the notorious monsters....

MrNinosan158d ago

@Seraphim
I loved those camping hours for every NM of interest.
Leaping Lizzy or what was it's name. Damn, so many days and nights 😅

And first time you got attacked by the Kraken on the boat, omg...

MrNinosan158d ago (Edited 158d ago )

Why tag all those platforms where it ain't playable then?

Spenok158d ago

To get more engagement with his article, and drive clicks. DUH!

(Thanks, I'll go ahead and report that).

YoungKingDoran158d ago

Wish they'd release it for PS4, 5, Xboxes and Switch - it ran on ps2 and still works on potato PCs so should run well everywhere

It's so disappointing that to this day, I have not seen a game match what BLACK offers in an FPS.

ApocalypseShadow193d ago

Shame isn't it. I thought we'd be at a point of destructible backgrounds, objects, pyrotechnics etc in shooters. I sold many a copy in the demo unit when I managed a franchise Game Crazy back then. But I stopped playing shooters because they didn't evolve. Heavy weapon. Shoot a wall or glass. Nothing happens. Lol. Except for Killzone 2. I enjoyed that.

But then I woke and remembered it's EA. EA didn't care really. They just wanted to kill competition from Criterion and Burnout. And own Renderware to profit from as many developers used that engine. Only thing was that developers ran as fast as they could away from EA to Unreal Engine and its pop in and Vaseline graphics. Shame on EA. And then they bought Dice for Frostbite. Evil busters.

Anyway, too many PS2 games to count. Some of my personal faves being DMC, Genji, Bujingai, Blood Will Tell, Onimusha, Way of the Samurai, Japanese Berserk, Japanese Macross game that blew away the US Robotech game, RAD, Castlevania Lament of Innocence.... there's just too many. Let me stop. Lol

Cacabunga192d ago

Code Veronica
Dead or Alive 2 Hardcore
The Getaway
Time Crisis 3
Killzone
Mark of Kri
SSX

are some of my all times favorites missing on that list

shinoff2183192d ago

I've always Saud I'm not a fan of fps much , there's been some I really like and thought were really dope. Black falls into that category.

CoNn3rB192d ago

I would love nothing more than a remaster of the Jak series, including Jak X

Flawlessmic192d ago (Edited 192d ago )

The greatest console of all time !!!!

The last console from when gaming was pure, games didn't take 5 years to release, no online only, no half finished games, no mtx.

Ps2 was just banger after banger after banger.

It will always be my favourite.

sagapo192d ago

No Timesplitters in the list??

FinalFantasyFanatic191d ago

This is a really good list, pretty happy with the choices here.
