Great game. Nice to see it offered as free. Would love to see them make a new one.

Alexious3083d ago

Me too. I'm afraid Bioware has its hands full between SWTOR, Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

thekhurg3083d ago

Well, SWTOR is handled by the Austin, Texas studio.
Dragon Age is complete.
Mass Effect is the only game we know about that the Canadian studio is working on.

Spectre_StatusN73083d ago

@thekhurg

Dragon Age Inquisition is clearly going to have a sequel. It also won GOTY last year. EA would more than likely prioritize that over any Jade Empire sequel.

kaiserfranz3083d ago

Hopefully a lot of people will download it and maybe EA will finally decide to give the green light for a sequel.

ccgr3083d ago

Oooh I'll be sure to grab it!

callahan093083d ago

Still shows Red Alert 2 as the on the house game for me right now.

I wish Bioware would hire more ppl, create another studio and make a sequel to this and a proper KotOR sequel.

As far as the morality system goes, I wish games would ditch the simple black and white, like Infamous and Mass effect. Dragon Age is a better example, as is The Witcher games. Real life isn't about good and bad, but choices that have consequences. Sometimes you must kill, sometimes you save someone and it ends up hurting you in the long run.

It's time!!!

MadLad3404d ago (Edited 3404d ago )

That's to say the core team, without all the minds behind the originals, would be able to produce a similar product. Not always the case, even when you hire on real talent.

As per your second part, sounds more like you want Obsidian working on the next title then, at least in the Kotor series. I know I do. That's always been their strong suit. That said, CD Projeckt Red would be very promising there as well. Bioware mainly treats moral ambiguity as very black and white things. It's just how they operate, and they rarely work outside of that. But yeah, Dragon Age really is their counter to that, though I don't think they manage it as well as the others.

soondragon673403d ago

Dragon Age isn't the only game Bioware made where they blurred the line between good and bad:

http://lparchive.org/Baldur...

Also it makes sense for a Star Wars game to be about good and evil. Star Wars is supposed to be about black and white morality. It's an opera after all. There is the good side and there is the bad side. Adding an in-between area takes away from what Star Wars is.

MadLad3403d ago

@soondragon

Oh, trust me, I am a big fan of the Baldur's Gate series and realize that that's where some of their best writing lies.
That said, that was back when they weren't expected to develop titles with full, or at least almost full, voice-acting.
Since then, the scope of the writing found in their titles has definitely been brought in a great deal. What we've often been left is with rather specific choices by comparison.

urwifeminder3404d ago (Edited 3404d ago )

Certainly one of my old faves .

Just some games i would want on the vita.....

SpitTake4104d ago

How about some original games?

Hicken4104d ago

How about looking at the game's library?

WiiUsauce4104d ago

funny how they made fun of the 3DS's early library when it had a small handfull of ports, and now their system has like 70% ports in their library and now they're asking for more. But it's okay when Sony does it, right? lol

Killzoner994104d ago

Ever hear of Gravity Rush? It's probably the most original game of the last 5 years. I don't think the Vita is suffering for original games. Sony has a massive library they can mine from and they should take advantage of that. The Vita will be fine if Sony continues to push crossbuy , remote play and bring the classics to a new generation

Y_51504104d ago

I just need my inFAMOUS, Uncharted, Killzone, LBP, and God of War fix on the system with some new IPs and ports and this system would be the possibly the best handheld I've ever owned, and I owned a lot of brilliant handhelds gaming devices.

I know that the stuff I put above are coming as a reality with Killzone is approaching and LBP & Uncharted already hit the Vita. Also new IPs like Tearaway and Soul Sacrafice are the new IPs. Also the ports are always good for games on consoles that can be enhanced to be a great play on the go title. PS Vita is going to have a fun ride starting 2013!

FragGen4104d ago (Edited 4104d ago )

+1. As an owner, I'm pretty stoked about the upcoming projects and am most interested in new console style titles utilizing either new Vita or established PS3 franchises for the big expensive games or super quick casual games as time killer/psn only type products.

I'm personally not looking for a bunch of ports of old Japanese games when the Vita can already play a ton of original JRPGs through the PSP backward compatibility. Psychonauts is probably the only title on that list I would have any interest in but I already own it on more than one system. Mine craft's a cool idea... But otherwise, for me, most of this list has "meh" written all over it.

himdeel4104d ago

I also really want an infamous game on the vita. But I would also like to see more original games. Finally got the demo of Soul Sacrifice and I cannot wait to play it. They have an excellent demo for that game and that's the kind of new game experience I want on the vita.

DragonKnight4104d ago

Wait wait wait. With all the people b*tching, moaning, and whining that the Vita gets nothing but ports (which is a lie), here's an article asking for 10 of them? Wow. And the haters show up in 3...2...1...

supremacy4104d ago (Edited 4104d ago )

Personally prefer exclusive new ips, but i don't mind ports just as long as they are well done and enhanced at that.

Nintendo handhelds live on ports, but the difference is they live on ports of classics.

Sony did port a classic in Persona 4 golden and is looking to do the same again with FFX which is good. But i strongly feel this needs to be consistent.

But in the spirit of this article, i will list my top 10 ports for the Vita.

1. Skies of Arcadia
2. Rogue galaxy
3. RE zero & Resident evil one Game cube remake
4. Socom 2
5. Twisted metal black
6. Dragon quest 8
7. Kingdom Hearts 1&2
8. Shenmue 1&2
9. GTA 3, Vice city & San andreas
10.Star ocean til the end of time

Now for my 10 runner ups...

1. Black
2. Project justice
3. suikoden 3-5
4. Onimusha 1-4
5. Wild arms 3-5+ alter code f
6. Grandia Xtreme,2&3
7. Mega man x collection
8. Drakengard 1&
9. Soul reaver
10. Xenosaga complete

of course there are more but i wont bother making another list. But the vita can very well benefit just of back catalogue titles.

Soldierone4104d ago

But but but, porting CONSOLE games to a handheld is stupid! /sarcasm

(really enjoying making fun of Vita haters)

Yodagamer4104d ago

Lets be honest alot of vita fans said the same thing about the 3ds.
