Not every scene has needs intense action or spectacular explosions, instead some of the most memorable scenes are heartbreaking. Whether it was Commander Shepard’s final speech to his partner or Joel crying over the body of his daughter, these depressing scenes create a sense of realism for these worlds and characters. Final Fantasy 7 has come back under the spotlight thanks to the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but is it worth replaying the original?
Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.

A scene from Lightning Returns as the saddest scene ever?
...
Really?
I cry easily when playing video games and watching movies. I still cry when I watch FFX ending! But I didn't shed a single tear in Lightning Returns. Or in any FFXIII game, actually.
Although I am so sad for what the Final Fantasy series has become that I do almost cry.
