Fantasy is back – and not just on the big screen. Alongside a revival in movies, and with Game of Thrones leading the charge on TV, it’s seen something of a renaissance in recent years – and in gaming too. We’ve always had the Elder Scrolls series, but recent years have seen other blockbuster series emerge, from Dark Souls to Lords Of The Fallen, carving out their own niches in what was once Tolkien territory.

Infinite but not the first two games? Witcher 3 but not the first two games?? GTA V but not literally any of the games before it??? Portal 2 but not the first? Also if you're going to play Shadow of The Colossus play the remaster and not the remake. Can't say I disagree with the list but my man it's all over the place.
Awesome list! Hot take on Fear (and it's hard af expansion Persaus Mandate!) Bioshock Infinite is stellar, so is the Witcher 3 and you nailed it by having Ocarina of Time. So many fantastic games! Gotta play 'em all! Next one on my list is Prey after I beat Dead Space 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction.

Sorry Abs, I love your work but this article isn't an opinion piece.
It is an article that features an interview with the game's creators. The only subjective element is the title, which might make it seem, at first instance, like an opinion piece however this is a common mistake to make if English is not your first language.
Comparison's of one product to a different product from yesteryear is regularly done in English as a form of shorthand so people know what the new product is in a similar genre too. For example "Need for Speed is this year's Fast & Furious." This is not a comment on the quality, merely an observation of similar genres.
duck and counter sounds better than what witchers 2 combat was, headline is a bit dumb but the level designer goes into some interesting details.
what about Zelda u ,if Nintendo makes it a great big skyrim type game you can keep all those other fantasy games.
"Arrives"?? It won't come out until sometime in 2015. SMH...
