Resident Evil 4 has been a rather polarizing entry in the Resident Evil franchise. Fans of the games released prior to the 4th game saw it as a departure from the traditional gameplay style of survival horror, where you character would face huge, intimidating environments which looked very familiar but had an eerie, unfamiliar feeling to it also.
Chris has released some new comparison screenshots between the vanilla and the modded version of Resident Evil 4, showcasing some of the latest 3D improvements/corrections and recreations.
Capcom need to get in touch with this guy and release this on the PS4/Xbox One
I know I know, another re-release of RE4 but this is one I would buy. With a bit more work it would probably feel more refreshing while playing
Capcom don't have to contact this dude for anything. They can simply shut this guy down and do this themselves. This guy doesn't deserve any acknowledgement from Capcom.
Why not. The guy has worked hard to do something Capcom have NEVER done on not one of their re-releases of RE4.
They could have but they couldn't be arsed. Now we have a fan who is spending his time doing something which should have been done by them
@Foxtrot I hear you but Capcom would never give him money for something they owned. They could do their own half ass port and call it a day.
Paying a guy a little bit of money is still going to be cheaper then getting a team to quickly port a game.
Why? Because it's just a fan, offer him a small amount of money with him credited in the credits and he'll probably say yes. It looks good if he ever wants to get a job within the industry or do other projects

Cute and apply salt to that wound of yours because Capcom are in contact with both these modders and are in full support of what they are doing, no cease & desist bullshit as its plainly a texture mod. Read the FAQ on their site, re4hd.com - This might even get a release on PS4/X1 when it gets done (this is community speculation, not Capcom or the modder's claim).
About the "deserve" part, not even in your wildest dreams can "YOU" achieve 5% of what these guys are doing, Maybe it's time to stop getting jealous over community modders getting recognition from developers that you can only dream about.
i agree, i bought ps3 port but i would buy it again on ps4, ps3 port was lazy, just upscaled resolution to 720p :/ this guy at least put soul into his work, it looks great
Looks pretty amazing, Its just a shame they wont be truly rewarded for the work these guys do, and this also goes for the guy making the MGS1 remake. At the end of the day, they dont own what there making, they cant make money off what there making, I wish they would put there skills into something new that they can call there own.

Great work, though I'm not sure who is interested in playing this game again. I played it with HD textures in 2008 or something like that.
No... with played it with mushy upscaled textures that you remember looking much better than they actually did.
If Capcom ever release a HD RE4 (again) on the Xbox One and PS4 then they need to get in contact with this guy.
The RE4 HD version on last-gen was one of the laziest. I'm ashamed to have bought it. Capcom didn't even upgrade the textures, they just upscaled up the resolution. http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
At least the more recent HD versions (REmake and Zero) are a lot better, so they seem to have learned what we expect from remastered games. I still wouldn't expect Capcom to do anything other than they're currently doing with their most recent remasters though.
Albert’s and Chris’ HD project for Resident Evil 4 is coming along really nicely and today they have released a whole bunch of screenshot comparisons that take us back to the iconic rural Village.
Honestly, i know a lot did not enjoy this game as nearly much as i did, it was still leaps and bounds better then the turds that followed.

You most likely never get another survival horror game by crapcom. Just like square enix wont make ff7 turn based. They are forgotten relics in gaming.
forgotten relics you say just look at the last of us its 100% Survival Horror and guest what Ni Nu Kuni 2 is a turn based jrpg i can list more games but you just want to play your Leons Adventure Action Game and its the new thing i guest since everything is forgotten relics in gaming lol

What you talking about there a lot of reasons why it lost the survival horror aspect and went into the action based aspect
but unlike the originals, you had unlimited saves (unlike the old ones where you only had so many), you could buy your weapons (unlike the old ones where you had to find your weapons), you could buy health, you could see around every corner (unlike the old view where you couldn't see around every corner), you could upgrade your weapons (IE bigger magazine size, more damage etc) QTE's (they where annoying and made it more action based) the feeling of the creepy atmosphere was lost, the loss of t-virus etc, the lack of proper zombies, zombie dogs, hunters, etc.
