At this year's CES in Las Vegas, Valve unveiled the first wave of Steam Machines, but if you went out and got yourself one tomorrow, what could you actually play on it? Red Bull Gaming takes a look at ten of the best games currently available.
Players can pay to edit their character, resurrect the dead and other actions.
Yet Helldivers 2 gets a pass? Y’know a GotY contender by the name of RE4 had them and so does Devil May Cry V. The funny thing is I enjoyed both of those games thoroughly without having to buy a single microtransaction.
What I do consider a valid complaint is not being able to start a new game or being able to edit your character. That’s kind of a seriously baffling decision, but then I think how I played Dragon’s Dogma 1 and I never edited my character and I just did a 100% playthrough on a single file and didn’t start a NG since. So, I don’t think these are really going to impact me, but I can see how it will others.
I was going to pay full price to support this game because I've been waiting for it for forever but I think I'll wait until I get it for free from Epic or a Humblebundle monthly.
I am not defending Capcom, as I am not a fan of MTX in single player games. I do however belive they were open to reviewers about having MTX in their game. The reviewers just decided to leave that part out. Which is very disingenuous. There are some companies that get away with these things. Image if this was done by EA, Ubisoft, or even Activision? I am positive those defending Capcom, would have had their pitchforks ready if the companies listed above did this
The Hogwarts Legacy video game is on sale for the lowest price yet. You can get the Standard Edition on Steam for $29.99 down from $59.99 (that's $30 off). And, the Digital Deluxe Edition can be picked up for just $59.99, which is $59.99 off its usual price of $119.98.
50% is about as far as I made it through the game too. It started so strong in and around the castle... $30 feels about right though
It's like they are pushing us away from gaming on consoles. The standard edition of this game is currently on sale on Xbox for $41.99, on PlayStation for $69.99 and on steam for $30.00. The PS store usually have sales on Tuesdays so hopefully, we will see the price being matched when the store gets updated.
While there’s likely already a list behind closed doors, one can still speculate and offer logical suggestions for titles new and old that should find their way into the PlayStation and Switch libraries.
Some of these seem to be exclusive for lack of enthusiasm of the publisher rather than because of deals. A lot of cool indies skip ps for some reason like katana zero, el paso, elsewhere and gunbrela
They really think PlayStation fans would want to play Redfall? Pfft.
Personally nothing on that list would be any game I’d want to play.
I’d absolutely love Hellblade 2, Palworld, and Quantum Break on ps5 as I’m sure tons of others would too. There’s nothing wrong with wanting games from another console and its sad that people try to act like they aren’t interested in them.
Sunset Overdrive makes very good sense. Palworld might.
Don't know about the others. Hellblade II does make sense given the original launched on PS4 first. Quantum Break was a massive letdown for me. I absolutely hated the whole TV show thing and I don't think anyone should have to relive that on modern hardware.
